It took almost a year to address some of them and some of them were not addressed. Communication of builder is very poor. **★ — HU-380949822, June 2019** > This builder is in fact talented, but extremely overpriced and has a short temper. He can become unprofessional in an instant. He does not give you all your invoices, specific breakdowns, etc. We were overcharged more than $100,000. We began working together, along with the help of my draftsman to refine the details of my initial design. The design is a cross between mid-century and contemporary and definitely "outside of the box" for our area and most builders would never have accepted the challenge, but that was definitely not the case with the team at Hennard Custom Homes. I would have to say there is not one detail in the home that is not a custom choice, so it is always a challenge for a builder when every detail has to be questioned, but the line of communication was always open and I was always involved in each and every detail per my request. I hired a personal friend, Jeff Tathwell, owner of Tathwell Design Associates in Portland Oregon to handle the interior design details since mid-century modern/contemporary is his area of expertise. Dustin with Hennard Custom Homes was very open to work with closely Jeff and between the two of them, they have certainly created a work of art! I will be very honest, we have incorporated some very unique interior finishes that some builders would have literally walked away from if we had asked them to install them, but they are absolutely fabulous!! If you are looking for a builder to cut corners, this is not the team to use. I was onsite daily and got to know his subs and they all got to personally know me and they are quality team that take pride in their trade. > I would highly recommend Dustin Hennard and the team at Hennard Custom Homes if you are looking for a quality, well built home for your family.
