> I coincidentally came across JJA as some of their work was showcased in a few of my client's catalogue pictorials and they happened be based in close proximity to where I live and thought I'd reach out local. I'm glad I did because the entire process was an enjoyable experience and through each stage of the process you felt in good hands. JJA will not only listen to your ideas but offer insight and options for refining them. Although JJA works on projects of all sizes - our smaller studio condo design received all the attention it needed from start to finish. Can highly recommend working w/ Jeff Jordan & his team - you won't regret it!

> Jeff was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our company hired him to do a huge project that included cutting a massive hole in a very thick cement floor, to later build a metal staircase. Without Jeff's help, this project would have been unmanageable. His service was professional, fast, and accurate. As always, another job beautifully complete thanks to Jeff!

> As a developer, I have hired many A&D firms over the past 10 years on projects requiring services ranging from conceptual design, zoning all the way to building it. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff Jordan Architects on my recent project and experienced a very positive outcome which I would like to share .
>
> Why Jeff Jordan?
>
> 1\) One stop shop:
> This firm can help you obtain variance, present to the historic board, prepare related applications, and QB all the other consultants' efforts (engineer, planner, attorney) to have a powerful and positive outcome. During DD they will listen well and match the design intent with developers' needs. They get “the cost” component of building what they design while maintaining the highest design standards. CDs are produced shortly after and they will stay engaged during the construction and commissioning phases. The owner principal, Jeff, makes himself and his staff available for questions and follow up meetings- just an easy to reach group of wonderful people
> 2\) Design excellence:
> A quick research of Jeff Jordan Architects' past work speaks volume about the firm's attention to detail beside the building mass/forms. Their attention to detail on items like stair design, light coves and finishes makes your product stand out.
> 3\) Quality of CDs:
> The drawings they provide make most GCs happy. GCs know what to build from the bid documents and there are no surprises at the end. Also from the owner’s perspective, it will reduce change orders. That’s huge!
> 4\) Reputation:
> Jeff Jordan Architects applications with the DOB are often quickly reviewed and passed. Why? DOB knows the firm has a clear understanding of building codes. The building department knows Jeff will not prepare an application that has conflict with township interests or building codes. You want a consultant that has an excellent reputation, yet is creative with interpretation of codes vs your ask.
> 5\) Access and Availability:
> During construction, site conditions may require adjustments in a timely manner… we call that “man on scaffold”… meaning you need answers quickly … Jeff Jordan Architects get that and make themselves available when you need them.
> 6\) They are just fun to work with!

> We cannot say enough good things about Jeff Jordan Architects. We hired Jeff to help us turn our tiny, hundred-year-old, lakefront stone cottage into our dream home. We wanted a modern design that still honored the history of the house and incorporated the original stone work. Jeff and Feriye worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted in the space while helping us be mindful of our budget. The result is breathtaking. We are nearly complete with our construction and we are finding all of these little details that make the space and design unique, particularly how they took advantage of the view from our lot. Every room feels like an expansive retreat, yet the house is only around 1500 square feet.

> Above all, our favorite part of working with Jeff has been the communication and professionalism. He returns every phone call and email in a timely fashion, always shows up to meetings on time, if not early, and is meticulous in keeping track of details. Overall, we’ve been so impressed by Jeff’s passion for our project and his openness to our ideas, suggestions, and questions...qualities seeming to be lacking in the construction industry in general. Choosing Jeff Jordan Architects has been, by far and away, the best decision we’ve made in this whole process. We highly recommend them.

> We worked with Jeff and his team on a full gut renovation of an early 1900s home with an aim for a modern and clean execution. JJA were knowledgeable, extremely collaborative and delivered results to a high standard. The drawings were well fashioned for a builder to work from. Their greater understanding of the flow and experience made for a very livable design. The detail work was precise and thought-through. We’re very happy with the result and we recommend Jeff and his team wholeheartedly.

> I hired JJA to develop a top to bottom remodel of our mid century modern home. JJA understood the project and my expectations right away and they were very easy to collaborate with. The design we came up with was thoroughly modern yet remained true to the mid century modern aesthetic of the original house. I'd highly recommend JJA to anyone looking for an architect that really gets modern design and is easy to work with.

> When my husband and I were searching for an architect in downtown Jersey City, we were lucky to find Jeff Jordan. Our newly purchased historic row house needed a gut reno and we didn't have time to spare. Jeff was immediately responsive when we reached out, met us on site within days, and sent a proposal to us quickly. The design work began right away, and we were able to get GC bids and file with the building department within 4-5 months of starting. Through the process he was always quick to respond to communication and our ideas, and was collaborative.

> We had an exceptional experience working with Jeff Jordan. We brought in Jeff Jordan to gut renovate our brownstone in downtown Jersey City and Jeff did an incredible job, optimizing the space and creating an amazing living experience. We couldn't be more delighted with the finished product. I was particularly impressed with Jeff's knowledge - Jeff provided countless recommendations, many of them cutting-edge products/technologies, including a radiant floor heating solution (warmboard) that we installed and absolutely love. In addition, I thoroughly enjoyed my interactions with Jeff and his response times are almost instant. Our contractor, a 30+ year pro in the business thought Jeff's architectural plans were the best he's seen. I would highly recommend Jeff Jordan to anyone looking to design the home of their dreams. I'm a 10 on NPS. 5 Stars. I've got several future projects lined up for Jeff Jordan.

> Jeff and his team out-performed my expectations for my project. He was extremely responsive, communicative, and transparent to me during my entire condo design. He provided great perspectives on the design and flow of my renovated unit and was very patient with all of my questions. He also provided designs for a custom design bar that came out beautiful. I would certainly recommend Jeff for any work and will surely use his services in the future. Glad to have connected with Jeff.

> Our project was complex as it involved a gut renovation of a multi-level, mid-century modern gem designed by Arthur Rigolo in 1956, nestled in the mountain with NYC city views. The home was in great disrepair. The goal was to bring the home back to life with 21st century amenities and sustainability, while keeping the integrity of the original design. From the beginning through the entire process Jeff and his team provided beautiful plan designs and visualizations, insights, support and advocated for us. He worked with our team of engineers and contractors to ensure that all issues were resolved, and budget and other goals were met. No project is perfect, there are ups, downs and surprises. And we are so glad that the very talented Jeff Jordan and his very professional and friendly team were there throughout it all. The end result is stunning. Thanks!

**★★★★★ — AngelAnkit Jain, Sept. 2020**

> We have worked with Jeff Jordan Architects to design and seek approvals for a 4 unit building in Jersey City downtown. We are very pleased with our experience with Jeff and his firm and the outcome of the project. Plans produced for our project are very clean and modern and this is something Jeff’s firm excels at. We found Jeff to be extremely responsive and professional. Jeff was always accessible to discuss ideas or changes. Jeff truly owns the relationship with the clients as opposed to leaving us with a team member. Every project requires working with city officials and neighborhood associations. Jeff is very proactive with reaching out to all parties when necessary. His presentations to the various authorities were professional and very well received. Jeff is very upfront and he only promises what he can deliver. Jeff has guided us through every step of the process. We felt well supported during the design and approval process. We are very glad that we worked with his firm and we look forward to working with him again in the future.

> There are more architects than grains of sand on an endless beach. We found a pearl when we selected Jeff Jordan Architects. He has used his eloquence, intelligence, knowledge and talent to create our dream home. What is unique about Jeff is his belief that his clients vision paramount to his creative process. He has patience, passion and perseverance. I highly recommend this firm.

  - Description: Deertrack Lane was a 1960's era two level home that needed a spark. Our focus was on reworking the entryway, stair and interior and exterior living areas to address our clients' interest in a more comfortable and livable home. Through the strategic removal of interior walls, the addition of a new soaring roof over the living space and the inclusion of lots of new windows, the somewhat dark and confined house was turned into a bright and airy oasis set amidst the trees.

  - Description: The Wells Fargo Loft building in downtown Jersey City was built in 1890 as stables for the company's horses and city carts. Our clients are both artists and purchased this space with a live/ work lifestyle in mind. The previous renovation was a good start, but the space needed a clearer hierarchy between their studio and living spaces. Our solution involves the strategic removal and reconfiguration of walls coupled with new millwork and circulation to arrive at a space that addresses their uniqu…

  - Description: Located within walking distance of the beach, this Jersey Shore vacation home for a Manhattan-based couple rises to an ocean view and has plenty of space for family and friends. Because the city's zoning code limits all residential construction to two stories, the goal of the design was to create the best possible views of the ocean while respecting the constraints imposed by the local government. For this reason, the second floor and above mezzanine level became critical to the success of the d…

  - Description: This house in suburban New Jersey attempts to reconcile several competing forces. The first challenge is to provide comfortable living space for five while preserving as much exterior space as possible for outdoor living. Given the relatively small site (50'x100'), our solution involves manipulating the typical house footprint in order to create usable exterior spaces. We go from a basic rectangle placed in the middle of the site to an "L" shaped configuration that creates a substantial sideyard…

  - Description: Many families in Michigan share a tradition of spending weekends and vacations in cottages adjacent to the state’s collection of lakes. Higgins Lake is considered one of the most spectacular of the inland lakes and the empty-nester’s who commissioned this cottage wanted to be able to share this resource with their large family and many friends. In order to do so, they requested a large gathering area for cooking, eating and relaxing and space to sleep twenty adults. Given the relatively large si…

  - Description: The owners’ of this mid-century modern home in the Hudson Valley were originally drawn to its casual, open living space and peaceful, wooded site. They were less excited, however, with the underwhelming connection between the living space and the surrounding woods and the Hudson River beyond. Additionally, the interior of the home was finished in a disorienting array of materials from brick to wood paneling and bamboo floors to terra cotta tile.
