> I recommend Laurie, an exceptionally talented interior designer with impeccable taste and vision, highly for your design project, large or small. She decorated my home for the holidays, updating my antique, colonial home with new perspective, brilliant creativity, and warmth. All the while, she was incredibly pleasant to work with. Laurie is the epitome of excellence and professionalism. I hope to have her back to work with me again in the very near future.

**★★★★★ — Kristin Knopf, Dec. 2016**

> Laurie really took the time to get to know my style and my needs. Laurie was always professional and worked well under tight deadlines. She really helped to make my house a home. She has great style and creative ideas.

> Houzz Recommendation for Laurie Gorelick Interiors
> Laurie came to my rescue when I was in the process of building a new home. The builder wanted paint colors ASAP and I knew I needed help. Laurie helped me figure out a complementary palette that would flow from room to room and floor to floor. From that point, we worked on furnishing several rooms in the house, including the living room, dining room, family room and master bedroom. Laurie did the space planning and sourced fabrics and furnishings that would complement area rugs that we owned. She was great at repurposing furniture we already had and integrating pieces into new schemes and designs. Laurie has an excellent color sense and loves to mix patterns. She was adept at interpreting my tastes to find unique pieces that worked within my budget and fit the scale and style of my home. I would wholeheartedly recommend her.

**★★★★★ — paulette\_gebhardt, Aug. 2015**

> Laurie worked with my contractor and me on a remodeling job of a master bathroom and a powder room in my house in Brookline.
> She was recommended by the contractor who has worked with her in the past.
> She was extremely easy to work with and gave wonderful advice. She was wonderful at helping simplify my choices. I am very pleased with the results and definitely plan to use her services in the future.

**★★★★★ — ricleeds, May 2015**

> Laurie is a wonderful person. She is always professional, quick to respond to changes in the project or my personal preference. And she is amazing at what she does. She helped us with a kitchen 'facelift' and turning an unfinished basement into "Mantown" aka "Toy Town". Her ideas were very helpful. Both rooms look fantastic and we get tons of compliments.

**★★★★★ — jalj, Dec. 2014**

> I recently worked with Laurie Gorelick of Laurie Gorelick Interiors on remodeling/decorating my playroom and I am thrilled with the results. Laurie is a very creative person and also easy to work with. She listens and is attentive to ALL details and needs. She stays focused and gets the job done. Her professionalism and honesty were much appreciated throughout the project. I would definitely recommend Laurie to others for both large and small jobs. She has a great sense of style, color and concepts. Laurie knows her materials and has many resources to choose from as well as strong relationships with good contractors. She makes the whole process an enjoyable one while creating a lovely end result.

**★★★★ — ahouzz, Dec. 2013**

> I contacted Laurie based on her projects I saw on Houzz. Laurie agreed to rescue me from a DIY Disaster and design our Great Room site unseen---we live in Alabama. The was my first time hiring a designer; I can say that working with Laurie has been worth it.

**★★★★★ — laurenjrichman, Dec. 2013**

> Laurie Gorelick provided all design work on a difficult bathroom renovation in an old Victorian house (1895). Her innovative approach involved pushing out a wall to enlarge the space and reorienting the bathtub under a window for nice light. Laurie assisted us in selecting elegant and well coordinated colors of wall and floor tiles, countertop, and walls. The overall effect is modern, yet classic, serene, and comfortable.

**★★★★★ — ffalchuk, Nov. 2013**

> I hired Laurie Gorelick Interiors in 2005 to help me decorate my home. Specifically, we worked on my living room, dining room, master bedroom and master bath and kitchen. She also helped me pick paint colors throughout my house.
>
> Laurie is amazing! She has a wonderful sense of design and is extremely creative. Moreover, she is truly a delight to work with. She is extremely professional. She also knows how to work collaboratively with a client in a way that allows the client's personality and preferences to shine through. Overall, I have been extremely happy with Laurie's work and would highly recommend her to others.

**★★★★★ — jenll, Nov. 2013**

> Laurie has been wonderful to work with. She understands my style and works to enhance what is already in my home as opposed to re-inventing the wheel. She is resourceful and creative and thinks outside of the box. She is respectful of my time and my budget as well. I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with Laurie and having her move through every room in my home.

**★★★★★ — bwenning, Nov. 2012**

> Laurie was easy to work with. She listened to our design problem and came back with several options that best fit our needs. Our room went through an amazing transformation. I would highly recommend Lauire Gorelick Interiors.

**★★★★★ — jammwein, Nov. 2012**

> Laurie has worked on numerous design projects on my home in Wellesley. Having worked with several other designers, I can say without hesitation that Laurie is the most creative, responsible, respectful, hard-working and honest member of her profession that I have dealt with. The first project Laurie worked on with me required her to use many existing -- and not terribly attractive -- pieces of furniture in a family room. She transformed what was truly an eyesore (and a room that we never used) into a place of warmth and beauty -- one that we now use constantly both for our own family and to entertain. Laurie has a great eye for both design and color. She also has her finger on the pulse of what is available in the marketplace. For our dining room, she found an absolutely stunning antique Venetian chandelier that completely transformed the room. She is also a real pleasure to work with -- attentive, solicitous and accommodating -- a consummate professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

  - Description: When our clients became empty-nesters, they wanted to renovate the former basement playroom and turn it into an adult recreation space. We removed a wall-to-wall toy storage closet to expand the space for a media zone and designed a built-in media storage unit to store electronic and video gaming equipment. We used a light but colorful palette because the basement only had 2 windows. We anchored the media zone with a sectional sofa and moveable ottoman cubes. To serve as a casual eating area or…

  - Description: This show house was held in the historic William Flagg Homer House built in 1853, now the headquarters of the Belmont, MA Women's Club. I was among 20 designers selected to participate. The room was 17 feet long and 13 feet wide with 11-foot-high ceilings. I added the custom wainscoting (which went up six feet from the floor) to create a vista at eye level and to bridge the proportions of the tall ceiling. I chose to have the wainscoting, doors and moldings painted a glossy green to add drama an…

  - Description: For this show house, we created "The Inner Sanctum," a retreat for the woman of the house. Our space was on the third floor of a Second Empire Victorian House with a mansard roof. The roof created asymmetrical angles in the outside wall. We designed custom built-ins to disguise those angles and create symmetry. We also added a custom built-in with wet bar. The cabinets were lacquered a glossy cinnabar color and accented with asian-inspired hardware. We designed a lambrequin to frame the dormer w…

  - Description: For this show house, we transformed a bedroom in an antique farmhouse with french antiques and a hand-painted mural in a Scandinavian country motif. The walls were colorwashed in a pale blue and then painted with a flower and vine pattern scaled to the room. A French walnut trundle bed was angled to provide a seating area by the fireplace and ample room for a desk and chair on the opposite of the room.

The cabinets were repainted, the walnut countertops and backsplash were stripped and refinished, cabinet hardware was replaced with vintage-style antique bronze hardware and an apron-front sink was installed. When we renovated the bathroom, we borrowed space from an adjoining bedroom and designed a custom vanity. The tub/shower combination was relocated to a private area in front of the window to take advantage of daylight.
