We have worked with her to update and transform our home furnishings, lighting fixtures, soft goods, paint/color schemes, and wall coverings (grass cloth, wallpaper, etc.). We had worked with several other designers before, but none of them had the vision and skills to tie the whole house together. We wanted lots of traditional colors on the walls in the various rooms (barn red, robin's egg blue, sage green, etc.) and Maureen suggested we tie it all together using a dark chocolate brown theme in soft goods, dark wood antiques, and a foyer anchored in a dark brown wall tone set off against heavy white moldings. To keep costs down, Maureen was able to successfully integrate in much of our existing furniture and focused on re-upholstering fabrics and restoring wood finishes where necessary to create the look. She also re-framed most of our artwork and helped on selecting a few additional original artwork pieces to round out the house.
