There is far more to concrete than most people have any idea about (mix designs, water reducers, time of year, sun or shade during curing, substrate preparations, style and type of finish, color oxides - just to name a few points of focus) that a local expert will understand. These folks can be hard to find, but it is essential to the outcome. **Q: Did you use copper pipe for the overflows** *(in Photo Questions)* what other materials have you used, I used slate and it is falling apart... A: Yes. These are sch 40 copper pipes. They are very expensive, and require electrical bonding as all metals do, but they will be there forever. You have to be very concerned with the level of absorption in any material selection that will be in or around water. Water is the universal solvent and will destroy anything it can penetrate. Most of our scuppers are 316L stainless steel. It is much more expensive than lesser grades of stainless, but never use any lesser grade if you will have chlorine in the water. Pay attention to the nature of the elements you are working with, what they will be subjected to in your climate (sun, freezing, etc.) and you should be fine. **Q: What type of tile or texture does the black jakuzzi have?** *(in Photo Questions)* A: the spa outside is 24" indian premium granite. the spa interior is black onyx pebblesheen --- *Source: Houzz professional profile.
