She was quoted a cost and told they would start immediately for 2 to 3 weeks. Every 1 to 2 weeks shed have to call. They'd' send someone who started, but wrong. They'd send another person who'd do a little more and wouldn't respond for another week or so. The contractors were pleasant to work with and with the exception of the painter the workmanship was very good to excellent. The designer was wonderful to work with. Although we kept our existing cabinets, most everything else in the house was upgraded or replaced in some way both inside and outside. I was hoping for a Tuscan theme in my home and shared some photos from Houzz with the designer I was working with. She did a great job selecting a small set of options for things like countertops, plumbing and light fixtures, carpet, tile, doors, bannister, and paint so I was able to quickly make my final selections. I also happened to find a beautiful hammered copper stove hood online and they were able to get that hood for my project. I was quite impressed with the way they worked with their sub-contractors both in terms of the initial job bidding as well as with scheduling during the project. The project manager who worked with me was fantastic. If he wasn't at the house that day he always checked in with me to ensure I knew what was happening the next day and who would be in the house. If some unexpected thing came up he was immediately on top of the situation and had the right people there quickly to keep progress moving. The designer was also very responsive to questions or additional things that came up I wanted to add to the project. She quickly researched options and was able to get any materials ordered quickly. We were leaving on a long vacation so had a hard deadline to complete the work. The initial estimate was 2-3 months and I am really pleased the work finished in 2 months and 4 days! When we left on vacation there were just a few very small things outstanding that were resolved upon our return. I feel like we have a new home at this point with custom finishes. I am extremely happy with the results and everyone who has seen the work is very impressed as well. **Comment from CK Rogers Design. Build. Tricia Vaughn designed the work transforming our concepts into a concrete plan. She was delightful to work with and highly efficient given her comprehensive knowledge of the construction process and materials and products available. With a great plan well defined, Clint Rogers drafted the budget and put in motion his construction team and sub-contractors. All of these professionals did their jobs superbly and in a timely fashion. This was especially important as there were three small children underfoot in the house during the construction. The project was completed on time and within budget. We also used the CK Rogers handyman service, specifically Jim Thrope to put up shelves in the garage, paint some rooms and other maintenance projects. He did a fantastic job, a very pleasant guy that brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his work.
