Angelini & Associates Architects was established in 1989 by Bradford and Theresa Angelini. For over 35 years the firm has focused on producing innovative, high quality design solutions for residences in the Ann Arbor area and throughout Michigan. During this time, the office has produced designs for over six hundred projects. These projects include both renovations and new construction that span stylistic boundaries to match the context and client requirements.

The Angelini's work as a team, both collaborating in the design of every project in the office. This team philosophy extends to include the client, builder, and consultants as partners. The office includes the two founding partners, one project architect, and eight project designers. Members of the firm draw upon a wide range of past professional experience to inform their involvement in current design projects. Each design solution is shaped and affected by a careful consideration of the clients’ needs and desires, sustainability and green building concepts, the site constraints and potential, the historical context, materials and structure, and architectural precedents.

**Q: Books in Hallway** *(in Photo Questions)*

What is the minimum Hallway width, and Bookshelf depth measurement you recommend, to maintain traffic flow to not be too tight/narrow!? THANK you! Merry Christmas ⭐️

A: Good Morning Mary,  The hallway is 48 inches wide and the shelves are 12 inches deep.  The width of the hallway accommodates the width of the 3'-0" door with 4" trim at the end of the hall.  We have done 9" deep shelves but this client had some larger books.

A: The spiral stair is off-the-shelf.  The company that provided the stair is "The Iron Shop".

**Q: What wood for window trim and front door?  Thx!** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: We used vertical grain fir.  This was a common trim material for mid-century modern architects.  It is now more difficult to find and the grain is not as fine as in the 50's and 60's.

what material is used on the fireplace?  Love it!

A: Thank you for the kind comment.  The material on the fireplace is a black slate tile.

Do you know the manufacturer of the double sided fireplace?

A: Thank you for asking about the fireplace.  It is a wonderful design element and a focus of the living room and can be seen from the back yard through the large windows.  The manufacturer is Heat + Glo.  It is a gas (ST-36) w/Aero fronts (2) + electronic blower system.

I have similar wood tones on my ceiling and would love to have this look.

A: Thank you for your comment on the space.  We are very happy with the way that it came out.  The paint color of the walls is Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17.
