> After more than two decades of use, we realized it was time to update our pool which made it clear that our landscaping and patio area, which were just as old, needed an upgrade. At first, we had no idea where to begin with such a large project.
> Choosing a Contractor/During the summer, we noticed that our neighbors were having some outdoor work done. Curious, I took note of the name on the vehicles parked at their house. This led me to reach out to Lone Star Landscaping through their website leaving our contact information.
> Chris from Lone Star Landscaping called me the very next day. He was very informative, asking about our goals for the project and bringing up important questions that I had not even considered. During our phone conversation, Chris provided basic estimates for the various items we wanted to address. Once we confirmed that we were aligned in our vision, we scheduled an appointment to meet onsite and review our goals.
> Consultation and Material Selection:My husband and I spent significant time meeting with Chris, touring both our front and back outdoor areas, and sharing our vision for the renovation. Chris offered valuable suggestions throughout our conversation, demonstrating the depth of his experience in this field. We quickly realized the importance of working with someone who truly understands the nuances of outdoor design. After we reached an agreement on the project details, Chris provided us with samples of the various pavers, tiles, and travertine options. This allowed us to see how the materials would look in the natural light of our own backyard before making a final decision.
> Transformation:Once we had selected our materials and gave the go-ahead, the work began. It was truly a joy to watch Chris’s team bring our project to life.
> Renovation Process and Results:Chris and his team displayed exceptional skill throughout the renovation. We decided to replace our backyard patio area with beautiful travertine and add a few new spaces for the barbecue and around the pool equipment. My personal goal was to have a surface so smooth and comfortable that I could walk the entire area barefoot. Watching the travertine being installed was a fascinating experience, as we could see the design gradually taking shape. The finished result is absolutely stunning. Even during the renovation, neighbors walking by would frequently comment on how impressive the transformation looked.
> Enjoying the Results and Looking Forward:The outcome of our backyard renovation has exceeded all expectations. We spend a great deal of time outdoors, and since the project was finished, my husband and I have often remarked on how remarkable the work is. Chris’s craftsmanship and attention to detail delivered results that were even better than we had had envisioned. We were so impressed with the transformation that we decided to entrust Chris with our front yard remodel as well. We would gladly recommend Lone Star to anyone considering a landscaping project.
