The team was very professional and knew what they were doing. My house was built on hillside in Paradise Valley and the construction was completed on time and under budget. Nine years living in my house I have no defects in the stucco, drywall, windows, roof or stone. In fact I have never had to have Fisher come to my house for any repairs. If you are realistic and trust the professionals at Fisher than the experience is wonderful. We started with a blank canvas and had them use their in house architectural services and design for our custom home. Knowing how the home building process goes, we are educated enough to know that there are change orders and issues that pop up. The expectations were discussed and met. Their capabilities to meet and achieve an extremely reasonable schedule was missed by 40-50%. For most the project a 4 day work week was common practice, nor would a trade sneak in the odd weekend. Once project was months behind it seemed every week they lost another week. Our 2900sq’ home took 17 months (Fisher assured 12 Months when hired) and two neighbouring custom builds at over 5000 had people living in them at 14 months. > Quality and cleanliness of site is acceptable. > Communication is non existent unless prompted. > Budget rarely met, most line items were an initial guess by Fisher and then masked as the daily “change order” when in fact nothing changed, you just can’t get the job done for their budget allowance. > IE. several thousand dollar change order to install windows, not one window location or addition made to any plan ever...answer by Fisher Custom Homes...”they were harder to install than anticipated.” Yes, another change order. > The project was simply oversold and under delivered.
