> Bill Marshall is quite simply wonderful! He listens to "your" likes, dislikes and must haves. Never imposes his preferences. Will gently advise and suggest. Bill is patient and never overbearing. Our previous experience with an architect was daunting! We are now in the process of building "our" dream home that Bill designed, it is better than we had imagined. If you want to work with an ego free, talented architect, Bill Marshall of Architrave is your man!!!

> We worked....although it was too much fun to really be called work...with Architrave to design our home. We specifically worked with Bill Marshall and found him to be so creative. We felt like he listened to what we wanted and made it come to life both beautifully and functionally.
> We thank them!

**★★★★ — panthergirl, Nov. 2013**

> We began working with Bill Marshall from Architrave in Nov. 2010. Bill took a clean slate of paper and designed our custom home to maximize the views, the orientation of the sun, and the surrounding homes on the street while delivering the features that were important to us.
>
> He was the most creative, “think out of the box” architects that we had encountered during the interview process and that ended up being a real plus throughout the entire build of our home. Bill does not take comments and/or design changes personally and was a pleasure to work with.

> Our relationship with Architrave, particularly Bill Marshall, has been truly wonderful. We had other appointments set up to meet and hire an architect to help us plan our new home, but after meeting Bill we cancelled the others. He totally got us and his passion and amazing instincts were reflected in his planning of our home. We moved in last May and continue to discover and marvel at the many special architectural features. The best thing about working with Bill was that he gave us exactly what we wanted in his very creative, detailed style--with a nod toward southern architecture and history. And, one of the many perks are his bear hugs--he truly enjoys his clients!

> Bill Marshall, one of the Architrave principals, could not be a more thoughtful and insightful architect. We interviewed 3 firms, and Architrave and Bill was an easy choice for us to design our new home.
>
> The project scope was to design a new 5 bedroom home on a wooded lot fronting the Polo Field. He listened, really listened to our needs and desires ...both functionally and aesthetically. Along the way he was a big help introducing us to various contractors and suppliers. He knows his stuff, has a great client sensitivity, and we would not hesitate to recommend him.
>
> We live in Chicago now, and will start to build in SC when our home here sells.

**★★★★★ — Peter Conway, Sept. 2013**

> I worked closely with Bill Marshall of Architrave for a period of 2 years on two different projects on Kiawah Island. Bill is knowledgeable and a good listener. He does not bring a huge ego to his work, which means that he is solely interested in drawing up plans in concert with the client's own ideas.
>
> Bill also has a unique perspective of what it takes to navigate the politics and policies of Architectural Review Boards. He has extensive experience on the other side of the table, so this makes him able to anticipate what will be required to get approval for a project with a minimum of stress and delay.
>
> During the project, Bill met on site with me and the builder every week to review progress and to problem solve any difficulties encountered. His resourcefulness and problem solving abilities are among his greatest strengths.

> Architrave did an outstanding job for us in designing our new retirement home. Dale Marshall was the lead architect for us. Dale listened to our needs and provided creative options and alternatives . Unlike some architects we interviewed, Dale has no "ego" in that he doesn't get bothered if you don't like a concept and has endless patience to work though the issues, while explaining the what's and whys to a new home owner. Dale is an excellent problem solver and worked extremely well with both the builder and designer during the process to address challenges that came up. He works quickly and lives up to his commitments and deadlines. Because we built our home while Iiving out of state, Dale spent seemingly countless hours on the phone with us and utilized the latest technology to send us renderings of the designs. He always maintained a calm and pragmatic demeanor,on which we really depended. We would recommend Dale and Architrave without any reservations whatsoever!
