Knowing that organic materials (wood) and moisture do not mix I was intrigued. I used their calculator to compare the cost of using traditional framing materials and Insofast panels. The cost was very close and I knew the installation would be much easier. I applied the panels to almost 700 square feet of basement block in less than 10 hours. My assistants were my 7 and 8 year old and their 8 year old friend. They would open the boxes, I would apply the adhesive and affix the panels and they would build a village with the boxes. The temperature change in the basement was immediately noticeable. My husband was concerned about the strength of the product so I glued a small section of Insofast to the wall. We let it sit overnight and he attempted to remove it. He had to use a LOT of muscle and a pry bar to get it off. He was convinced. Never again will I use wood stud framing for exterior basement walls. I rest easy knowing I will never have to worry about mold forming behind our basement walls due to wood and fiberglass insulation getting damp.
