> Very professional. Quick, well job done. Great that they having a showroom to see the products they use. Jim is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Wonderful family business. Would work with in a heartbeat again

**★★★★★ — Brett Henning, Aug. 2017**

> Jim and his crew did an excellent job finishing our basement. Jim took a lot of time up front to come up with a creative solution for our awkward basement layout. It was much better than what any of the other contractors came up with. Jim was very helpful throughout construction. If you aren't too particular with all of the little details if your basement, then Brothers Construction is definitely the top choice. If you are more particular about the little details, I'd still recommend Brothers Construction, but you'll just want to be sure you communicate clearly and stay on top of things. Anytime there was any miscommunication, Jim went out of his way to make it right. I liked working with him so much that I recommended Brothers Construction to my neighbor who also used them for their basement remodel.

> When I saw pictures of basements finished by Brothers Construction on Houzz, I liked what I saw. So I requested a quote. Jim called immediately and we talked for quite a while about what I had in mind and what I wanted to spend. He gave me clear information about how he works and suggested some options that were within my budget. When he came to the house to see the space, we talked more and exchanged ideas. We decided to proceed so gave us a total price and drew up a detailed proposal that covered all the work to be completed in each of 11 categories--framing, electrical, plumbing, doors and trim, walk-up bar, entertainment component cabinet, opening of stairway wall, heat and insulation, drywall, painting, floors. Having never supervised a construction project, I felt comfortable following Jim's proposal, which I tracked on a calendar when he broke down what would be done in each of the 9 weeks he said the job would take. During the course of the project, we decided to add a few upgrades for agreed upon additions to the total cost. The project progressed smoothly and was completed on time. The additional space, tailored to our interests, is very usable and attractive. We are pleased with the results and recommend that you talk to Jim Hathaway at Brothers Construction.

**★★★★★ — Rob Bratsch, Feb. 2017**

> When my wife and I decided to finish our basement, I began to research all of the major contractors in the Denver metro area. I looked at reviews, checked out online galleries and began to compile a list of companies that I felt would do the best job based on that research. I narrowed down my selection to 5 companies, with Brothers Construction being one of them. I then made appointments with each of them for an on-site estimate. Out of all of the companies who I dealt with, Brothers stood out right from the very beginning. Jim Hathaway, the owner of the company, came to our house and he didn't just take measurements and start crunching numbers like some of the others. He seemed, first and foremost, interested in knowing what our vision was, and how that looked to us. He then worked with us extensively that day to brainstorm ideas and offer ideas as to how the layout would best compliment the existing architecture. Overall, I think he spent about 3 hours that day answering my endless stream of questions and alleviating our concerns. Jim and his team then created a layout that was stunning and worked with us to set a budget for the job that not only could we live with, but included many high end features within that budget, and he assured us that there wouldn't be any hidden costs, that once the job started the only change in price would be dictated by us. Needless to say, we hired Brothers and it was the smartest decision we could have made. Much like Jim, his entire crew and family were friendly, dependable and seemed genuinely interested in delivering a quality product. They worked tirelessly and consistently to finish our basement (during the holiday season no less) within a pre-specified time frame. There was not a single day of down time from start to finish, and I could always reach Jim by phone with any questions, something you might not get with other companies! Any minor concerns were immediately addressed, and anyone who knows anything about construction, knows that anomalies will and do occur, but it's how the company handles these that sets them apart. Jim and his crew were always professional and made adjustments to satisfy us when requested. They certainly earned our respect throughout the entire process. Upon completion of the job, we were absolutely amazed! The basement was beautiful and everything was perfect! Not only that, but true to his word there were absolutely NO hidden costs. We paid exactly what we expected to pay. The good folks at Brothers had turned our basement into a warm, inviting space that we are very proud of, and it has become the preferred area of our home to be in. We have a great place to entertain guests, with more rooms, and we have nearly doubled the square footage of our home. Our friends and family have given us many, many compliments on how gorgeous it all turned out, and we couldn't be more pleased....overall this was such a great experience, and I just can't say enough about Jim and his family. If you live in the Denver area and are in the market for any kind of home improvement, basement finish, etc. you just can't go wrong with this company. They are top notch, quality people.

**★★★★★ — Cheryl Wilkinson, Nov. 2016**

> We challenged Brothers Construction to take on our 1,300 SF basement finishing project and to carry down the look and feel of our custom home, and they completely delivered. The price was fair, and even with a number of changes along the way, grew by less than 2%. They started on time and made steady progress to meet the schedule commitments. The terms were no down with 18% due at each of 5 milestones, and with 10% held until we were completely satisfied. We appreciated that they first set up a worker's temporary toilet and loaded most materials through the windows, minimizing the traffic through our home. Jim and Alex were terrific to work with, Alex led the rough construction, and John's custom built-in woodwork was great. When we held our open house for friends and neighbors to celebrate completion, we invited Brothers Construction, and they came! Based on our recommendation, our good friends are completing their basement finishing project now, and I strongly recommend that you consider Brothers Construction for your basement finishing project.

**★★★★★ — Ian Young, Nov. 2016**

> We had our basement finished with a bar, theater, sitting area and game area. Brother's was phenomenal in their work. They listened to my thoughts and made suggestions where it made sense. They've been doing this long enough to see the little things I didn't. They were able to fix the imperfections from the original builder and make our dream basement a reality.
>
> If ever I needed another basement finished, I would definitely call Jim and Brother's Construction.

**★★★★★ — mawherry, May 2016**

> If you are looking for someone to complete your basement, look no farther than Brothers Construction. Jim and his team did an excellent job finishing our basement. Everyone on the team was very easy to work with and very professional. One of the best compliments we have received(along with many others) about our basement is when a Colorado native who has seen lots of finished basements said, "That's the best finished basement I have ever seen!"
> Brothers takes pride in everything they do from the initial bid to the final clean up. It can be difficult finding a good contractor to finish your basement, but with more than 30 years in the business, you can trust Brothers to make your basement a beautiful sanctuary as well as a great space to entertain. Thanks to Jim and his phenomenal team! We are beyond satisfied!

**★★★★★ — thehavenkid, April 2016**

> I would highly recommend Brother's Construction for any home improvement project. They finished our basement on time, on budget and more importantly, with quality workmanship.
>
> Any concerns/requests we had during construction were addressed, and they even came out months later to fix a warranty issue.
>
> Thanks Jim.

**★★★★★ — mag\_sola, April 2016**

> Brothers Construction did an excellent, quality job on finishing our basement. It turned out exactly how we wanted it to! We couldn't be happier. The job was finished on time and within budget. Jim and his crew have talents that made it stand out as far as quality over other finishing companies. We love the wood work that they completed for us! Thank you Brothers Construction. As you know we have referred you to our entire neighborhood!

**★★★★★ — Nicholas Becker, April 2016**

> They did a great job finishing our basement. Good price, good quality, great design, on time. I really can't ask for more.

**★★★★★ — lestermoses, May 2015**

> We hired Brothers Construction to finish our walk-out basement. It's rare today to work with a professional who is also someone you feel is on your side throughout the project. Jim and Andrew clearly outlined the project, reacted quickly and with enthusiasm to changes we made along the way and watched the budget to keep costs to a level they knew we were comfortable with. The quality of their work, and the work of their crews, was excellent. After a few weeks, we were so comfortable with the Brothers Team that we stopped paying attention when they arrived or left, and when they were upstairs. Jim explained every part of the construction process. We added a bigger window, installed matching stair railings upstairs and adjusted many small things during the 3-month project. Every change was made, a few were improved with Jim's advice, and we are very happy with the result. To top it off, the cost was reasonable, in a market where the prices vary widely. We intend to stay in contact with Brothers and their teams for future projects. Very pleased with Brothers and our new basement.

> I hired Brothers Construction over 20 years ago to finish my basement. They were highly recommended after doing many of my neighbor's basements. Since, I have had Brothers redo my kitchen, among other assorted house projects. Father, Jim and son, Andrew, are very professional. If they can't do it, they know people who can. They are extremely professional and charge a fair price.
