> We have used JA Gallagher Inc for three projects in our home. Joe was recommended to me by a colleague at work who told me "you will not be disappointed". Our most recent project was a master bath and closet renovation last winter. While the work was an inconvenience to our daily lives, Joe's employees went out of their way to protect our home and keep things contained and clean. Joe is very personable and professional, constantly communicating with us throughout the project. When there was a problem, it was fixed, and in timely fashion. We look forward to having JA Gallagher in our home in the near future for another project.

> JA Gallagher replaced the double sinks, counter top, vanities and mirror in our bath.  Not a huge job, but they did an excellent job as well as starting and finishing on time.  They were a pleasure to work with throughout the process.  One of the things that impressed us early on was when Joe told us that he could order the countertop we wanted (after we were told by others that we could not get that color for that use) and get it machined to a custom thickness at a very small cost.  We would (and do) definitely recommend JA Gallagher.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Fireplace/television designs** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We are renovating our 1954 ranch. For several unfortunate reasons we had to remove the existing gas fireplace and surround. We are in the process of designing and building a new fireplace and have a dilemma regarding placement of the television. The room is completely surrounded by large windows, leaving the fireplace wall as the only option for tv placement. 

I have poured over photos on houzz and have narrowed it down to two options that I like, which I've included sketches of. This 8.5' wide fireplace is the focal point of our open concept house and is seen almost immediately upon entering he house. We will be facing the surround with charcoal grey stacked stone or ledgestone, a wood mantle and stone harth.

I'd love feedback from you...which layout do you prefer? A side by side design or stacked? In the side by side design the tv would be above the hearth and on a low shelf in the niche, setting it 2' off of ground level. In the stacked design the tv would we be a few inches above the 5' mantle.

A: Most important in design is viewer comfort so thing about how you will be spending your time viewing and where you will be viewing from (location of seating).  
Most of our installaions have gone over the top of the mantle.  Given the height I would recomend at the least a wallmount bracket that tilts to adjust viewing angle (the bottom of the monitor is at 60 so would put the center at least 18 inches above that) but would recommend an articulating bracket so the monitor could be set to any viewing angle.  The side by side works as well and brings the monintor closer to the floor.  Once again you need to ask yourself what will be my primary viewing position/location.

**Q: Need Help on My Master Bedroom Bathroom** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hi all 

need advise from you all regarding Bathroom design of my master bedroom (design attached). Its 8ft\*8.5ft bathroom and am planing to have separate shower cubical of 3\*3.5ft and a bathtub. 

want to have feedback and suggestions wether it will be too cluttered or it will be ok to have both. 

appreciate the response.

A: One of the things we use in tight spaces is a pocket door; frees up physical floor space as well as giving the room a more open feel.  In this configuration I would even consider not using a door at all, but pocket doors gives you the option.

**Q: Stunning!  Could you share what tile, etc. you used in this shower..Tk** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Hello!  Thanks for your note.  The tile in this shower is all from American Olean.  The backwall is the Legacy Glass Wheatfield Blend in a random linear stone and glass.  The side walls are a 2x4 Legacy Glass tile in Dune.  The floor is a nuetral 2x2 from the Bordeaux line.  We also used that same Bordeaux in a 12x12 on the bathroom floor.  The seat top, threshold and niche shelf are all Cambria Quartz in the Sutton color.  I hope that helps!
