We went through multiple iterations of decisions on paint selections and the team was easy to work with and communicate with while we were out of state. The result also looked just as we hoped. **★ — lmalphonse, Nov. 2016** > The house needed a thorough scraping, sanding and power washing before being repainted. There were some rotten boards that CertaPro agreed to repair or replace as needed, using factory pre-primed boards. All of this was clearly written into our contract with them, but most of it wasn't done. The front of the house was mostly well-prepped, but the other sides of the house were not adequately scraped or sanded and, in some cases, not scraped or sanded at all. In several sections, rotten wood was painted over instead of repaired or replaced. They also painted 10 windows shut, broke one storm window, and reinstalled two storm windows backwards so they could not be opened from the inside. After much arguing via email, they agreed to replacing the rotten wood as per our contract, but installed raw boards, not pre-primed, and not enough paint was applied, so the paint job looks uneven. The paint was cracking and flaking off within days of the job's completion, and popping and peeling off in patches less than six months later. The franchise owner was dismissive of our concerns. He eventually agreed to send a crew over to address some of the issues, but then delayed for nearly six more months until the weather conditions became unfavorable for painting.
