Starting with the install, it was a nightmare to schedule as there were cancellations and re-schedulings galore. When I ordered the blinds, I was promised 4 weeks and it took somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks. Then we had an issue with the blinds and it took forever to get someone out to look at them and part of his solution was informing us that 'sometimes that's just the way it is'. > > But what takes the cake is when we tried to schedule our de-install. I did this 2 months' in advance because I wanted to ensure that this happened before we moved out of our property. I received a call 3 days before the scheduled appointment and was told that 'no installers were available' (despite me being assured several times that the appointment was scheduled months ago) and that I would have to be re-scheduled on a later date. I told them it was not possible because we would no longer be in the property and later Laurie called me back and said they would come a day earlier to the initial date. We re-arranged our schedule and made appropriate preparations. When the morning of the de-install came I received a call literally 5 minutes before the installer was due to come informing me that he would no longer be coming, and I would be re-scheduled at the originally-offered later date. I explained yet again that this is not possible. Susan, the owner, did not apologize once nor make any effort to accommodate me or find a decent solution. She just kept repeating 'there's nothing I can do', claiming she only has 2 installers total. She never even offered to give me a refund for the de-install fee that I paid up front, and I had to bring it up. Her affect was completely flat, non-helpful, and certainly not hospitable in the least. > > In conclusion: middle-of-the-line products, AWFUL customer service, AWFUL management and scheduling. Buyer beware. If the owner Susan is so far left from helpful, what can we expect from any of the rest of the staff. **Comment from Budget Blinds of Crown Point, Frankfort, & Chicago:** > Pooja - There was a different owner of the franchise when you purchased your window coverings originally. That is definitely not the level of service that we give to our customers. Unfortunately for your take down of your window coverings yesterday, I had explained to you that our installer was in the hospital with chest pains and was unable to come to work and I had just found out that morning. We were working to find another installer, which we did find a little later in the day. Unfortunately at times our installers get sick and are unable to come to work. When we called back to let you know we had found an installer to take down your blinds, you had already found someone. I am glad you were able to get that done.
