We're working on a similar project right now and are having some challenges. Thank you, A: Sorry i cannot confirm the fireplace...we are an AV company...we didn't do the fireplace. **Q: WIth no mantle, is the inset TV enough of a heat consideration?** *(in Photo Questions)* Or is it the space between the firebox and the tv that is more important, or a combination of both? A: I'm not qualified to answer specifications on each fireplace but for this model we confirmed with the manufacturer the min distances from the top of the fireplace. Having it recessed definitely helps with keeping the heat from hitting the bottom of the tv. Check with your local fireplace experts. **Q: Love the tile, Can you tell me what tile you used on the fireplace** *(in Photo Questions)* Can you tell me what tile you used on the fireplace please A: Sorry we didn't supply the fireplace stone. I can ask the architects for you. Send me a separate email and my assistant can help you with this. That's a good question and unfortunately we don't have the exact measurements. Based on the TV being approx 48" wide, it appears the bottom of the TV niche is approx 44-50" from the finished floor. I know the fireplace was 50" wide but I'm not sure of the exact height. **Q: Plug** *(in Photo Questions)* Hey. How did you hide the Sonos plug in? A: Hi there...sorry I didn't respond earlier. I missed this question. We run the power and audio cables for the playbar to a hidden wall box behind the TV that is recessed so we have easy connections. Definitely plan for that if wall mounting the playbar as the power cables are not easy to hide otherwise. **Q: How to size recess?** *(in Photo Questions)* Is there a standard offset for the recess against the height and width of the TV? In other words, the recess should always be x inches wider and y inches taller than the dimensions of the tv? A: Hi there. We don't have a hard rule. It really depends on asthetics. In this case, the recess was matched to the width of the fireplace and the TV was chosen to be slightly smaller. This ended up being a 55" TV with a width of 48" (approx). I would always recommend leaving a min of 1/2" reveal for ventilation and more if you have the option. Another trick is to have the recess painted black or use dark tile to blend the TV and recess.
