**★ — vlynna, Sept. 2016**

> I hired Tony LaMorte of Ruby Crest Design to build a bookcase and mantle making a down payment via credit card of 1/2 of the project amount in mid-June, 2016. He had assured me that the project would be finished and installed before of August 1 which was my deadline date. A few weeks passed, and I had not heard from Tony. I called him, and he assured me that the project was on schedule and reassured me that it would be finished and installed before August 1. Another week or so passed, and I had not heard from Tony. I called, and he assured me that all was on schedule. On July 29, I had not heard a word from Tony so left him a message. I, also, called my credit card company at that time to dispute the down payment charge. I had not heard from him when I left town for a couple of weeks on Aug. 3. Upon my return, I reached him on Aug. 19. He said that he did not think that my deadline was significant as it was not a life or death situation and that he could have my project finished by the end of September. I told him that he had not done one thing that he had told me he would do and that he had broken our contract. He refused to give me back my magazine photo of the project he was to have made for me unless I paid him. I would not recommend Tony because he did not deliver what he had promised, he did not return my phone calls after I made the down payment for this project, and he behaved in a non-professional and unethical manner in demanding payment even though he did not deliver and in refusing to return my magazine photo of the project.

> DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TONY LAMORTE. We have been working with him for 6 months and he has repeatedly had delays, not completed his work, and done everything in the lowest possible quality. We are having to hire someone else to finish his work since he is non-responsive, and has the most unbelievably unprofessional approach to his entire business.

> So very disappointing.... We used Tony Lamorte several years ago and he built a beautiful library and wood cabinets for our family room. When we needed wood work done for the interior of our RV we contacted Tony because of the good experience we had with him in the past. Tony started the work in October of 2014, with a promise that it was going to take a few months to build what we needed. We gave him a $5,000 deposit in good faith. Tony ripped out the interior of the RV and it has been unusable until the job was done. In the past 22 (!!) months there has been delays after delays. Every time I called, or visited Tony he would say : "give me three weeks and it will be finished". We wasted 2 full RV seasons because we believed that Tony would deliver on his promise. This weekend we finally gave up, took possession of our RV again and are now scrambling to figure out a solution. What a shame. I urge anyone that think of using Tony Lamorte and Ruby Crest to be very careful. We are so very disappointed. Mostly because Tony has lied this entire time. It would have been better had he just said that he couldn't do the project and not wanted our time and vacations.

> Tony LaMorte of Ruby Crest Design claims to have been making cabinets for 30 years but his work was abominable and he was extremely hard to work with. We had to fire him before he completed our kitchen and we should have done it sooner. He would go weeks without showing up or contacting us to let us know when he would return. Rarely would he clean up after himself, leaving mounds of sawdust and equipment in our operational kitchen. He did not match grain on banks of drawers/doors, cabinet boxes were not level or aligned initially and had to be redone to fit the granite counter tops and space between doors and drawers was very inconsistent. He did not even know how to install the refrigerator door panels. After we fired him we discovered one of the drawer pulls he ordered was the wrong finish and he refused to tell us where he ordered them unless we paid him more money. We eventually found the pull and had another contractor repair and replace all the damage and poor workmanship Tony did in our kitchen. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company.

> Summary: Order never delivered and needed to do a charge back on credit card.
>
> I placed an order for a custom desk with Tony. Within a week, we had agreed on the final design with measurements & cabinetry, and Tony estimated 6-8 weeks to complete everything.
>
> I called him about 5 weeks later and was told it was about on track and no issues.
>
> Called two weeks after that and left a voicemail. From this point forward, all calls, emails, and text messages have been ignored.
>
> I just did a charge back for the deposit on my credit card.
>
> Absolutely do not use this company for anything.

> I wanted a burl head and foot board for my bed and a matching bookshelf with display cabinet to match other bedroom pieces I already had. By showing Tony a picture of what I had he designed and built the perfect matching furniture for me. I'm delighted! He and his craftsmen staff are skilled, professional, courteous, and always available. I recommend Tony and Ruby Crest Design without hesitation and will use them again if I need more work done for my house. I just wish I'd known about Ruby Crest when I build this house. I would have given all my cabinet and built-in work to Ruby Crest!

> Tony the owner of Ruby Crest Design worked with us to create a beautiful and unique dinning room table. The top was made from an environmental friendly Lupus and stained to a rich dark brown. Tony took much time and patience to design and create some sculptural metal legs for the large table. I own many other pieces of Ruby Crest Design furniture. The are quality pieces that are unique, sturdy and made with great care.

> Tony and the Ruby Crest team were amazing to work with. Polite, professional and great to work with. They made me a entry way table and it turned out beautifully. Better than I even had hoped it would.

> I have used Ruby Crest Design for projects concerning by business, Art Services, for the past 15 years. Always professional with excellent craftsmanship, value and work completed in a timely manner. We recently hired Ruby Crest Design to make a cabinet for our master bath. Working with my designer, Katie Jesse, they designed the perfect bathroom cabinet, with two mirrors over sinks in granite and a mirrored, glassed and lighted Perfume display cabinet in the middle with three self-closing drawers. Tony also came up with using vertical self-closing cabinets for small item storage. Under sink cabinets and another set of self-closing drawers under the granite counter top, make this cabinet not only beautiful but functional. After ordering a three panel door into the toilet/shower room we realized a glass door would have been better. No problem, Tony put three decorative glass pieces in the previously solid wood door, tying the whole project together.
