Residential design studio was started in 1993 by Rich Rokisky. Operating a small 2-3 person office during that time, Rich has been able to maintain high standards and reliability for his clients. RNR DESIGNS has built a reputation of professional, consistent and courteous service to homeowners and builders. Rich's background includes nearly two decades of technical, creative and field work for contractors & architectural product firms before he started RNR DESIGNS. His experience developed a broad skill set that enable Rich an edge that few designers possess.

Staff includes experienced architectural drafter(s) who are dedicated professionals. This allows RNR DESIGNS to use a designer when the project calls for a more experienced designer and a drafter when the project calls for drafting, creating efficiencies and producing swift turn-around time. A phenomenal value.

Designing homes and renovations is a passion for RNR Designs owner Rich Rokisky. Years of field experience, ongoing education and imaginative solutions make RNR Designs a first-rate residential design studio.

> Rich is a very thorough designer and willing to face any design challenge thrown at him. He was a great team player as we worked with a team of people to accomplish the results we wanted to achieve.

> We did a major renovation and addition to our house and later built a garage. Rich of RNR Designs measured the site and worked with us to design and create the drawings and specifications of the structure and then helped execute the project by finding and working well with a great contractor.
> I manufacture architectural terra cotta which I wanted to include in the design and Rich was extremely helpful in doing that. RNR Designs is a company I would chose to work with again on future projects.

**Comment from RNR Designs:**

> Todd, I appreciate you taking a few moments to share your experiences using us as your design team. It's was a pleasure to work with you and your wife on both your projects and be a part of such a distinctive architecture.

> Rich from RNR Designs, created the lake house of our dreams. We worked closely with him throughout the design phase. He took our ideas and suggestions and created a home that is both beautiful, stunning and a great use of space. We feel that with Rich's help we used every bit of space efficiently and are so grateful for his patience and expertise. We highly recommend RNR Designs for your architectural needs.

> My wife and I were looking to build a custom home as we had looked through hundreds of different floorplans from house books and couldn't find what we wanted. I was a little intimidated in working with a Architect as I was afraid they would capture what we wanted in a design. We searched a few different options but some friends recommended we meet with Rich with RNR Designs. We did so and were impressed right away, he asked a lot of questions and looked to capture our vision as he laid the ground work of the design. My wife gave him a book that we had put together from magazine pictures and Houzz print outs. Through the process he was great to work with, adapted to changes and his suggestions were greatly appreciated. He fulfilled out dream of building a custom home that is functional and captured who we are as a family. Working with someone like Rich costs money up front but in the end he saved us a lot more money than his fee's. I would highly recommended touching base with Rich if you are curious about working with an Architect or looking to build or remodel your home. We have been in our house for 2 years now and are still just as happy as when we moved in!

> My husband and I worked with Rich in developing the architectural plans for our custom home. We were very, very pleased with the service and work performed. Rich went above and beyond in providing recommendations that worked out great.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Backsplash** *(in Photo Questions)*

What did you use for a backsplash? I'm struggling with a similar vanity/sink/double black mirror set up but on a larger wall (55" vanity off center on a 97" wall). It seems the only solution I have seen is to tile the whole wall, so I"m looking for other options, because esthetically it isn't optimal.

A: Hi Anna.
I believe there is no backsplash. Just a tight fitting countertop with a narrow concave bead of silicone caulking. I would think the drywall around the vanity is water-resistant with a bathroom quality paint . Keeping the countertop clear of water would be important to avoid mold / mildew at that seam - not a detail for everyone.

**Q: Are the cabinets rift white oak? Who is the manufacturer? Thanks!** *(in Photo Questions)*

This is for a new construction project in Austin

A: I don't know the specific oak specie but it looks more like plain sawn than the more uniform graining of a rift sawn. They were custom made for the job by a local carpentry shop here in Ohio.

**Q: Where can I buy this outdoor patio set and the coffee table? Thanks.** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Sorry, can't answer that.

**Q: What is the width of the vanity? Thanks** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: The width the vanity fills is 87" (7' - 3").

**Q: Stone?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Beautiful stone! Can you tell me type and color? Thanks!

A: My guess is that it's DUTCH QUALITY STONE "LIMESTONE" - CHARCOAL but could not confirm.

**Q: What is the countertop made of?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Nick and his craftsman did a impeccable job at integrating the (2) colors on the island.
