The granite for the center island arrived in poor condition (see attached photos). There had to be at least 10-15 chips around the perimeter. Every seam was poorly done, one in the center island and two on the outer counter. During the installation I repeatedly mentioned that the seams did not look good, but was told over and over again by the installers that they were acceptable. Asked the installers to stop their work because I wanted the owner to call me. Installers left my house that day a mess- empty water bottle and monster drink cans not picked up, counters were left dirty (I wish I took a photo of the dirty rags so that you could see how nasty they were and they actually applied the sealer without cleaning the counters first!), and whatever they used to "glue" the seam together on the center island got on the floor and had to be repaired at our expense. > > Owner never called that day (Thursday), took off work on Friday but only received a call from the lady in the office that Chad (the owner) would not be available until Monday or Tuesday. By the time I did hear from Chad, my husband already had two other companies come to our home and inspect their work. All agreed the seams were bad. The entire center island granite had to be removed, recut because of all the chips, and reinstalled again before ever hearing from Chad. > > Two months after install the outer counter seam has separated. I contacted Chad via email and was informed that we didn't have a warranty. Please see this companies work in the photos attached. Mistakes were made on our custom granite countertops but The Granite Man stood behind their work and ended up installing a new slab in the kitchen at their cost. They even helped us correct one of our mistakes after install at a very reasonable price and again, on the exact day they promised.
