He was paid to remodel my home following a fire I had. He was paid mostly upfront. This was a mistake my insurance company made. This allowed him to do very little work. Took an entire year to put a few cabinets in. Then he pocked the remaining funds claiming all the money had been spent. He defrauded me of the money paid by insurance to fix my home. I deeply advise not to do business with higher rock. If you do never pay any amount of money upfront. He also refused to provide any receipts proving where the money went. tragedy was not in the form of a fire in my case. Choosing to go with this company proved to be far greater tragedy!!! Almost 2 years later I still sit here with no flooring. Something he was paid very well to replace. **★★ — Curt Stamp, July 2019** > I first came in contact with HRC when they were referred to me by Service Master to repair water damage. I also had them do a remodel of my master and half bath. The first contact was in June 2018, and the master bath wasn't "finished" until December. In fact, some lingering issues have not been finished (stains on tile, window trim not aligned, balcony restained (because they power washed the finish off of it after they got grout all over). They also had to refinish my living room floors after tearing the finish off because they left tape down for nearly a month. This could not have happened at the worst time with the holidays approaching. Since 75% of the downstairs was affected by water, we decided to move forward and remodel our whole downstairs. Chris and team came in and evaluated the situation laying out a remodel plan that had us back in the kitchen for Thanksgiving and comfortable during Christmas. This was very impressive as the kitchen project entailed a lot of work. His staff worked directly with our insurance company which was great as I did not have to get involved. Because we had an insurance claim and a personal remodel, Chris provided separate detailed bids which made it very easy to understand. He took us through each bid and he was spot on the number. I want to add that his team made suggestions throughout the job, that we would not have thought of, that really made a difference in the end result (updating our house). Chris made himself very accessible throughout the job, checking on our house frequently and returned all of our calls immediately. He contacted us with any changes in the work schedule so that we knew when his crews were going to be working in the house. ALL of his construction crews were very professional and courteous.
