**Q: What size entry hall table?** *(in Home Decorating)*

When choosing a table for the entry, is the size measured with the front door open or closed? I have a very small entry hall and with the front door open, it leaves about 34" for a table. Or, can the table go BEHIND the door? If I measure the table with the door open, then when the door is closed, the table will be off center on the wall (the door opens towards the wall. The kitchen is on the other side- no wall). 
Unsure what to do. Any help is appreciated!

A: I’d measure with the door fully open first to make sure the table won’t interfere with it or the walkway. and Yes, you can place the table behind the door. I’d prioritize the door swing and walking clearance over centering the table perfectly on the wall.

I am renovating my kitchen I am keeping my cherry oak cabinets and changing the hardware my floor is going to be lithos white . I will be doing the countertop and the backsplash the same what should I choose do I choose Costa Nova polish by vico Stone or do I use Cristallo from fab Lux

Our living room is smaller with 18 ft (bay window wall)x 13ft. We have an entrance , fireplace or bay window on every wall or walkway. We need furniture suggestions. This room is our main living room with a TV and fireplace. We would love to optimize seating for our household of 4. Should we get a sectional? What kind of furniture? We are desperate for seating while keeping the circulation paths clear.

**Q: bathroom vanity advice - non standard width** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Hello, I'd like to replace the pedestal sink in my half bath (see photo) with a vanity cabinet and top, preferably with some storage.  The opening is 29.5" so the closest standard sized vanity would be 28".  

I know I can use filler strips to fill in the gaps next to the vanity but not sure what to do about the vanity top.  I know I can get a custom vanity top with built in sink for the 29.5" opening but not sure how that would work with a 28" vanity cabinet.  

Or maybe I should just do a more narrow (like 24") freestanding or floating vanity and have a full 2.5" gap on either side from the walls?  

I'd also like to tile the back wall up to the ceiling so I'm assuming if there is a large gap on the sides of the vanity I'd have to tile the entire back wall from the floor to the ceiling so that's a consideration too.  Plus the angled ceiling is a bit odd so any advice about tiling the back wall with that would help.

Any advice (perhaps with example photos?) would be appreciated.  Thanks!
