I recently ordered a couple items from them. It was to be my first experience with their products. I received an order confirmation. Then after two weeks of crickets I contacted them to inquire as to the status because even for a small operation two weeks seems a bit ridiculous for no order update. First, they inform me that one item is no longer available and it was a miscommunication with their supplier (was it sold out or did them dropping the ball for almost two weeks cause the item to then sell out? Who knows). I was a bit irritated, but was like fine - mistakes happen. Then several days later I get told that the other item in my order is ALSO sold out and has been discontinued by the supplier so there will never be one available to purchase. I was informed the entire order was canceled and to have a nice day. The item was then showing as unavailable so it seems liked another ridiculous mistake. At this point I’m even more irritated, but not yet at the point of leaving a scathing review. What sent me over the edge is that the exact item I ordered and was told was never going to be available is now showing as AVAILABLE again. Be warned!! I ordered a coffee table on Black Friday, and it didn't arrive until last week. Two days after getting it, I spilled room temperature tea on the coffee table, and the stain completely wiped off and made our living room smell like stain! I emailed and waited the 3 business days to wait for a response, and nothing. I finally was able to get a hold of someone via their customer service number, and received a very "uppity" sounding individual who clearly didn't care to rectify the situation. Since then, I've received confirmation that they will do nothing to fix this because the piece is "vintage" and needs to be handled "with care" despite the lack of warning or information on their website or in their packaging. I am also having a hard time understanding how something is vintage if you have to pre-order it and it's made in mass quantities for a website. Horrific experience. However, I initially addressed that subject and asked if it would be a problem. I was assured it would not be and that they would be happy to work with me. I then proceeded. I feel that the following was a direct result of not receiving the attention higher budgeted clients get. This review is not based on that feeling though, or on any other feelings. The review is based upon facts. > It was agreed they would send photos of ideas as I requested but they did not follow through on that. I was sent a list of items they felt would work well in the room that was being designed. I made known that the largest item was over my budget. I was told not to worry, they would find an alternative vendor who could save costs. I went ahead with purchasing most of the other items which used most of my budget. Afterwards, they informed me of the price of the large item which was still well over my budget. I paid for the item although doing so left me well over the budget I had clearly made known. Now, I am unable to complete another project I had set aside a budget for because I had to use those funds. > When I confronted the issue, I received an apology and was told that “someone” had made a mistake and had misquoted the price of the item by $1000. My main complaint is that it was I who had to pay for the mistake. I was offered a few hours of service at no cost as a consolation but that is of no use to me. I am financially unable to move forward to finish the current project and certainly can’t proceed with the one I had planned next. What it amounts to is that in order to take advantage of their offer to compensate for their error would take money I don’t have and the reason I don’t have it is because of their error. I feel that was one last slap in the face - the failure of this company to take responsibility for their error in a way that would be practical and helpful for me, the customer, rather than conveniently offering me a “peace offering” that I obviously am not able to utilize. > I would like to note that my intent with this review is not to slam this company in any way but rather to confront an issue that I feel was very unfair and ultimately reflective on the lack of respect and integrity that this company displayed. **Comment from Pure Salt Interiors:** > Hi Laura, thank you for your message.
