## Community Q&A

**Q: Having severe regret over picking SW Dover White for cabinets and trim** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We just build a home and our cabinet designer recommended SW Dover White for the cabinets. We then used that for all of our trim and doors for consistency sake. As soon as I saw the cabinets installed, I freaked out because they looked "off white" to me and now it drives me nuts seeing anything true white next to my doors, trim or cabinets because it makes it look too creamy. It's not an option to repaint any of it, so I guess what I'm looking for is a way to get over this...help!

A: I chose Dover White because it gives a soft calm effect to a home. It reads white in photos and is complimentary to other true whites. I used it for my kitchen cabinets and all our trim work. I have people ask me for my paint colors all the time. I hope as time has gone on that you love your color choices or have been able to update to your preference. I tell clients all the time you should feel good when you walk into your home.

**Q: Concrete back porch + dog paw prints = Not happy** *(in Porches & Decks)*

So, as you see in the photo I have a back concrete patio that (that I just pressure washed believe it or not) and I have dog paw prints all over it in a matter of days. I'm sure it's the mud/clay here in Alabama. 
Anyone have in thoughts on a stain that would help this not show up or any other ideas? Acid staining, etc.?

A: I understand your frustration. It looks dirty and messy and even outdoors when you entertain a lot, as we do, you want a clean space. We have this same problems and with two Great Pyrenees the paw prints show up moments after I clean. I have just bought a sealer to apply and see if it will help with keeping the concrete clean or make it easier to wash them off. I've also purchased two outdoor area rugs for the dining and sitting space.
