Ethan showed professionalism and great knowledge of the process, and was very involved and communicated transparently on our project from the start. He showed a lot of care and patience in guiding us through this entire process dealing with permit approval with the city, vendor and trades selection to fit our budget and quality requirements, overseeing the work packages and scheduling. The quality of construction met our project expectations. As with all major renovation or construction projects, there are factors that lead to delays outside the scope of Convex's control, trades shortage during busy season, materials delays, cost increases from the budgeting stage compared to when materials and labour are contracted many months after etc. but overall Ethan did a great job to make sure the project is moving along. He has also been very responsive and provided exceptional support when we ran into issues with the storm drain during rainy season, months after we moved into the new house. Ethan returned to the house many times over the span of a few weeks while the plumber and electrician were troubleshooting the issue, and ultimately made sure the issue was fixed. He also has a design background and a great eye for what looks good in a space, and can make suggestions for nice finishing details. His assistant William, is also very responsive, helpful and competent. Payment schedule was revised twice hoping to correct this problem. However, untimely payments still occurred and failed to meet the industry standard.
