> Kevin did an extensive remodel of my master suite.  There were two things I wanted to accomplish with this project:  to be able to maneuver around my house without the assistance of others for as long as possible and to have a space (particularly the bathroom) that would not only be low maintenance, but beautiful. My project required engineering that other contractors considered "impossible." Instead of "impossible," Kevin and his team saw my requirements as an opportunity to excel. And they did. Kevin thoroughly explored, scoped, and explained the renovations that would be needed.  Coming from a family of engineers, I very much appreciated all the engineering aspects of what went in to this project -- from x-raying the bathroom floor so that the post tension cables in the slab would not be compromised when he rerouted the plumbing, to ensuring the exact slope needed to the drains so that I could have a curbless shower.  It really was a masterful engineering job.  After having lived in the results through two surgeries, I can safely say that Kevin not only understood my desire for an "aging in place" master suite, but made it even more functional and beautiful than I had thought was possible.  After having heard so many horror stories about contractors behaving badly, I really hit the jackpot with Kevin and his associates. No inquiry, no request for explanation was ever too small for Kevin to provide an immediate and thorough response. He always kept in touch by phone, email, and text. I always knew what was going to happen and when. Trust is a real issue with me. I don't have the time or the inclination to deal with people I don't trust. When Kevin told me he would do something, I didn't obsess over making sure he followed through -- he always did.  Kevin is a pleasure to work with. Very smart, very organized, very trustworthy. **Q: love the mirror, where can I find it please?** *(in Photo Questions)*

Is it a medicine cabinet too?

A: You are in luck, the mirror was custom made onsite so you can do the same.  It is proud of the wall so that LED lighting was placed behind it edges.  The shape was simply a part of the designers overall design.

**Q: Handrail design** *(in Photo Questions)*

This work is impressive and splendid, but I have a design question: Should the steps leading to the pool have a handrail? the building code in Texas does not require it?, even though the floor in this area is slate (generally outdoors this material is a bit slippery).

A: The general rule is handrails are required with a elevation change of greater than 32”.  In this case the change was less than that.  You are correct on potential slippage.  The treads are 16” deep and the homeowners chose not to add the rail. City inspectors and locate HOA approved all work for this scope.

A: Thank you for viewing our photos. While part of the overall project, the pool and the spa were handled by the pool company and unfortunately we do not know exact dimensions of the spa. Both the pool and the spa are a smaller size. If we're able to find out more specific dimensions we will update accordingly.

I think I can recognize the acid wash color...did you do it for both coping and decking?  Your work is amazing, BTW.

A: This pool was completed by Pool Environments.  The material is Lueders for both coping and deck. Justin Osterberger Designs did the landscaping.

What is the name of this tile on the floor? so pretty!
