Lisa was very helpful at our 1st visit, & came out the following day for measurements and to show us some samples. (One of our biggest concerns was finding a wood that would match with the hardwood that was already installed downstairs; the end result was a perfect match.) The installers were polite, on time, & did a thorough job of keeping everything neat and tidy while they worked. They did an excellent job with the installation, & we could not have been happier with the final product. The molding wasn't flush with the floor. Many spots that were under or behind something were uneven because they didn't cut the molding to meet at the joint correctly. They even left a gap of flooring that didn't meet the wall in two places. Crazy!!! > I was appalled at the quality of work. The owners were more concerned about getting their payment than satisfying me. I couldn't understand why they were so desperate for my measly $3K. Shouldn't a successful company be more concerned with the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their customers???? I had done some research and received some references for flooring companies. I decided to go with Geneva because they were family owned and I felt very comfortable with the way they answered my questions and how they listened to my requirements. They didn't try to convince me to get something outside of my list of requirements but did take the time to explain options and show me samples from different companies and how they differed. One of my key requirement was to get flooring that was made in North America. To start, I had existing tile, carpet and wood flooring removed and replaced with Lauzon Birch flooring thru the whole house. Jose and his team came and did the removal. When I got home that evening there was no way to know what flooring had been in my house, there wasn't a piece of any of it anywhere. Everything was very clean. Nuno and Joe did my install. Only a small part of the install was glued down, the majority was all nailed down. Nuno and Joe were great, they showed up on time and when they left, everything was neat and tidy. They were also a lot of fun to chat with and gave me info on how the installation was being done, how to best take care of the floors, etc. My install was in May 2015. I love the floors, I haven't had a single issue or concern with the installation or the quality of the Lauzon flooring. Everything looks just like the day the guys left. I would definitely use Geneva again. And if you want a flat and seamless floor Lauzon is great, even if it's a bit more expensive. **Comment from Geneva Flooring:** > Thank you for the kind words.
