However, they did EXCEL in their display of apathy and lack of concern toward the customer, particularly when the problems were caused by and stemmed from Pirch, their employees, shipping and repair services, for which they took no responsibility. > > Items were incorrectly ordered, arrived broken, even the second shipments to replace the first broken ones. A Pirch employee himself broke something while trying to replace another screw up of theirs. Little to no help from Pirch in trying to contact the manufacturers for replacement parts for damaged items or incorrect items. We ended up having to have an employee at one of the manufacturers help us straighten things out, and it wasn't even her job. Mind you, this was for a tiny guest bathroom about 4' by 5' and we ordered the items last August. (We weren't even re-doing the shower!). I just TODAY had to take a "loaner" faucet (another story of their making) back to Pirch myself, that they were supposed to pick up over a month ago. > > With the changes to UTC making it even more difficult to get in and out, I will be surprised if they are there in the long run. I used them in New York and in the showroom > they were great. The day after they deliver SOME of my items they went out of business in the North East! I could no longer contact the people I dealt with nor did anyone, including the main office on the west coast return my call. It has been a nightmare. I payed for installation and instead my contractor had to do most of it. The showroom is well equipt with selections and the sales staff are there to assist. What lies beneath the beautiful showroom is a woeful lack of accountability and an inability to deliver on their promises. There was virtually zero follow through after purchase of over $40k in fixtures and appliances, extensive delays and a lack of coordination in delivery of products to my job site. This all culminated in an 8 week delay to my project because they could not figure out how to fabricate and install a hood vent cover with the proper dimensions. It took them 3 tries. And it would never had gotten resolved if I hadn't taken my complaints all the way to the VP of Operations for their company. My experience there after spending over $20,000 could not be worse. The sales reps were very nice but completely incompetent. I was sold items I didn't need. They duplicated several orders, several times. They weren't knowledgeable about their products. Made it seem like it was my fault for not knowing that I needed a special kit to install a drawer microwave when there's nothing in the store to indicate that their displays are installed using that kit. Had to switch reps 2/3 way through our remodel because of all the issues we were having. The new rep was actually good at his job but it was his last week working at the store (should have been another red flag). > > Once you get the appliances home, you better not have an issue. We have a problem with our refrigerator that started back in APRIL and they sent out a Pirch repair person twice, who only made the issue worse. > > After weeks of dealing with their repair department, suddenly there were no more return phone calls. Turns out, Pirch fired the company they were using but didn't bother to make sure open claims were resolved. When I called the new company, they lied and said that they called me and asked if I still needed service. Why would I no longer need service if they didn't fix the issue??? > > I finally visited the store to try and get some resolution. Again, the manager there was very polite. They sent some parts and a repair person who wasn't interested in understanding anything about what I knew to be wrong with the refrigerator from the previous 2 service calls. That was 3 weeks ago and I STILL DO NOT HAVE A WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!!!! There has been no follow-up from anyone at Pirch to make sure the situation was resolved. > > Do yourself a favor, if you're in the San Gabriel Valley, buy your own latte, and shop at another appliance store. Once they have your money, it's impossible to get a hold of somebody. We had a hood installed, and the service people had directions to install 30" off the top of the stove. Because of an outlet in back, which their service person could have just removed and hardwired into, they took the hood down 3 inches. It is now too short for us to use. Even their service manager came out and said it was hung too low, and they must have moved off the discussed 30" off the cook top due to the outlet. The service crew made the decision to lower it, and drill holes into expensive marble without a conversation with my husband. The store manager Anthony Montoya hides behind my husband signing paperwork at the end when the job was complete, instead of correcting their mistake. I was remodeling my kitchen and bought dishwasher, convection/microwave oven, cooktop, oven and refrigerator from them. Then the problems started when it was time for installation and customer service follow through. The installation of the microwave was so poor that they ruined the base of a newly installed cabinet and stripped the screws such that they needed to order a completely new oven. There were also issues regarding the fit of the oven under the cooktop. My contractor and I spoke with them several times (each time with much delay, it was difficult to ever reach the rep by phone and return calls took way too long). It was decided between he and their customer service rep that the contractor would do the rest of the installations and that Pirch would a) refund the installation charges that I had already paid since I had to pay the contractor to install and b) still honor the extra year of warranty extended to appliances that Pirch installs since the fault lay with Pirch. After months of patient inquiry by me regarding the refund and warranty extension, and a change in the customer service rep (who was much better at returning calls and communicating that the first one), I was finally told by the salesperson that they could not follow through with this promise because they could not find a way to do that in their computer system!!! I could choose between getting a refund for the installation charges but no warranty extension OR apply the installation charges toward a longer warranty period. I find this totally unacceptable business practice and would NOT recommend purchasing from this company. **★★★★★ — Brittany Stiles Design, June 2016** > Pirch is a beautiful showroom with top notch customer service. Their showroom appears to be very high end, but they sell a variety of price points, all of which are comparable to pricing you would find on the internet. Every sales person I have worked with has been incredibly responsive and attentive to each client project I have worked on. We hope this helps! **Q: I just purchased from Pirch in La Jolla** *(in Photo Questions)* two Aaron white bar stools. However they are too tall for my kitchen. The tile is Eleganza Metro Bianco 24" x 24". Eleganza can be sourced through our Oceanside Glasstile representative at your local PIRCH. **Q: Pirch appliance store** *(in Appliances)* We were at the mall earlier today and stopped in a new appliance store called Pirch...it was unlike any other appliance store I have ever seen. All the appliances were hooked up and working...they had large Miele and Wolf/SZ displays in the stores amongst others. The service seemed outstanding, I was offered a free latte on walking into the store, a glass of wine in the appliances section. All the employees were focused on answering questions and demonstrating the appliances. On walking in, I was given the card of one of the salespeople, after that she showed me around and answered all my questions, not once was there any attempt to close a sale. Most everything they are selling is price controlled, but it was nice how all the prices were clearly marked. Also, they do all their deliveries and installations by their own employees...not third party companies. One thing that surprised me the most was when I was talking to one of the chefs they had onsite about a miele steam oven...he asked me how much time I had. I told him we had dinner reservations in 20 minutes but he told me if I was interested to make an appointment and he would make me a meal in the steam oven! I was truly amazed by this experience and will likely buy all my high end appliances from them rather than from some appliance store where none of the appliances work and some salesman who knows nothing about the product tries to sell what his boss tells him to that day. I predict that this company will be a shot across the bow of the appliance retail industry...other appliance stores better up the service they provide to customers buying high end appliances!
