She initially presented several design options for a primary ensuite and bathroom - all of which realized an interpretation of our exchanges. We landed on a great design option and she handled so many details with a hands-on zeal. She had an excellent working relationship with my contractor and was super creative in dealing with issues as they'd come up because they do! I had lofty ambitions for the results of the reno which she exceed by a long shot. There were no period details left, weird removals and additions of walls, acres of bad tiling and popcorn textured walls. Zuzanna imagined a gorgeous and functional reconfiguration, a plan that started with macro concerns such as layout all the way down to suggestions for light fixtures (all gorgeous by the way), door knobs etc. Zuzanna is a gentle perfectionist with a keen eye. Yes, that particular electrical socket was in a slightly odd place, and I am glad we got it moved. I was living out of the country as the reno was happening with only occasional visits to check in. The space was quite tired and run down as well as being awkwardly laid out, with a deteriorating glass sunroom at the back leading out to a tiny, little-used deck. Our goal was straightforward: upgrade and redesign the kitchen, rebuild the back entrance, and enlarge the deck. Zuzanna developed an incredible vision for the job, creating a bright, open and wonderfully functional kitchen space, a spectacular partially-covered deck area, and a back entrance that draws the indoor and outdoor spaces together in a way we hadn't even imagined. The result is FAR beyond our original expectations. Throughout the process, Zuzanna was flexible, open-minded, friendly, communicative and always highly professional in her dealings with us and our contractor.
