**Q: Any dealers of Rift Cut White Oak Slab-style Doors in Portland Oregon?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am looking to reface my kitchen cabinets in a 1959 rancher. I live in Oak Grove and this style will work perfectly for style and location. Need helping finding a supplier for this style.

A: Rift Cut White Oak is becoming more popular.  We have also done many projects with it here in Oregon, mostly in solid stock, but we have also done Rift Cut White Oak veneers over another core material.

**Q: Never, ever, ever ...** *(in Design Dilemma)*

What are your design NEVERS? Designers, especially ... what do you tell your clients are the worst design no-nos to avoid?
Share your experience (photos encouraged)!

A: Never match the exact color of your flooring to the exact color of your cabinets, for example, if you are doing cherry floors--don't also have cherry cabinets.  (This is something I say often in our Oregon showroom.)  Make sure that the highlights and low-lights of both the colors in the floors bring out the highlights and low-lights in your cabinets and vice versa.  You want them to pop and compliment one another in contrast, not in their being the same.  (That being said, look for ones that do compliment one another not just ones that are contrasting and different--that perfect mix will come together!)

Hi, can you tell me who makes the frosted glass (or is acrylic) cabinets?

A: We often put frosted glass in our cabinetry as well, it depends on customer style and preference.

**Q: approximately how much is this sink ?  I love it** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: Thank you for your interest in this photo!  That sink is a Kohler sink from a few years ago, it is most similar to the "Whitehaven: Self Trimming Under-mount Enameled Apron front Sink", the price is listed on Kohler's website for $1,279.00.

What type of wood did you use on the cabinet with a black finish? It looks good.
