Would you be able to use the room during a midwest winter? A: Good Afternoon Kassidi, Thank you for your interest in the Amazing EZ-Screen Porch Windows. We work with consumers and builders all across the United States and Canada. Whether our windows are in the Southern parts of the United States or deep into Canada, our windows have proven their durability over the past 37 years. I have attached some general information on our 3 ½ season screen porch windows ( www.ezporch.com). We call them 3 1/2 porch windows as they will provide you over 300 days a year of possible porch usage. They are by no means an insulated four season windows. However, we do have customers who have heat sources in their porch and are able to use the porch in the winter. Our windows are all custom made and are delivered completely assembled with our 4 track panels and screen. Our turn time is 3 to 3 1/2 weeks. A: We recommend using a cap full of Murphy’s Oil Soap to a bucket of warm water. Place a towel on a hard surface. Use a soft cloth such as an old cotton tee shirt or micro fiber cloth. Lay the vent on the towel and begin wiping the vent down. Apply firm (not hard) pressure while wiping the vent down against the towel and hard surface. You can also try Woolite and water also. **Q: Window performance/Safety Rail** *(in Photo Questions)* Hi-Beautiful porch! How has the vinyl in the windows perfromed? Any problems? I was a bot concerned about the disclaimers on the manufacturer's website (blurs, scratches, bubbles, etc). I like the safety cross rail. I assume it met code and allows the windows to be tilted out for cleaning. A: Our windows have been on the market for over 30 years all throughout the United States and Canada. We convert new and existing screen porches into extension of our clients home, meaning the client can install nice flooring (carpeting, hardwood, tile), add nice pillowed furniture, fireplace, or TV. We are truly providing a 3 ½ season room that has a tremendous amount of flexibility on how to use their Amazing EZ-Screen Porch. Yet we allow our clients to use their screen porch when they want. **Q: Can these windows open all the way to give a feel of an open screened** *(in Photo Questions)* Looking for a room that feels like a screened porch but has the capability of closing up and creating heated and cooling space A: Hi Laura, Thank you for your interest in our Amazing EZ-Screen Porch Windows. Yes our windows open up to 75% screened opening. When you want to use your room as a screen porch you will simply push the four panels down to the bottom of the opening or push the up to the top of the opening. You truly feel like you're in a screen porch. When you're done using the porch, simply close the panels. Now you will keep out all the dust, wind, and moisture. This particular client has small gas fire place to the left out of the picture. When it snows, they love to turn on the heat and enjoy the fabulous view. I'd love y** *(in Design Dilemma)* I would really like a screened in porch. We have an empty area between my garage and my house where one could be built from scratch. We are in the process of getting some estimates from diff contractors. The first one came in at 26k! It works out to $130 a square foot. This is much more than we were expecting. The issue is that we just refinanced, so we just got our house assessed 2 months ago. I asked the assessor how much value a screen porch would add to the house. He said about 7k. So that's a loss of 19k and a pretty low ROI percentage. Like crazy low. I'm hoping that other contractors come in lower. Honestly, we just want a super simple one built. As much as I'd really enjoy using one, doesn't it seem like 19k is a pretty big loss? I don't want to sit out there enjoying the backyard but simultaneously feeling like I'm just burning money...
