> George did an amazing job designing our kitchen. His thoughtful placement and details still get compliments years after the renovation, especially the coffered ceiling that delineates the dining room.
>
> We originally interviewed George and a partnering genreral contractor for the job. We had second thoughts and proceeded to look at 4 other design build teams and companies, among them one of the most expensive in the area. We came back to the original team. Lesson learned, George had the best plan.
>
> We look forward to working with George on future projects; our longterm plan on window replacement, built in cabinets in the living room and renovating the master bathroom.
>
> What clinched this relationship is the generous patience he has in hearing our inane and unending questions, our kids bopping through meetings and construction sites and client second guessing and problem solving that comes with any renovation project.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Where can I find this tile** *(in Photo Questions)*

The tile for the walls in this shower is amazing. I also love the windows and the glass that is used in therm.

A: Thank you for the kind comments! This tile was purchased from Floor and decor about ten years ago. Floor and decor is kind of a clearance warehouse so their inventory varies from week to week.
However I'm sure you can find something similar -The shower wall tile is a basket weave made with crema marfil marble. I don't recall what the dark dots are made from.
The type of privacy glass is called "aquatex"
Thanks and good luck with your project!

**Q: What are the dimensions of this shower?** *(in Photo Questions)*

What a beautiful shower design! I am wondering what the dimensions of the shower are - shower floor and then with the bench.

A: Thanks! The shower floor is 8 feet wide, 5 feet deep, and the bench adds another 18 inches to the overall depth.

**Q: The shower windows** *(in Photo Questions)*

Hi
What kind of windows were used for this shower.. how are they sealed for shower use?

A: Hi there! The frames of these windows are fabricated from PVC material, so they will never rot! They are otherwise sealed/ caulked/ weatherproofed in the same fashion as all quality windows on the market.
Thanks for your interest!

**Q: How did you waterproof the windows?** *(in Photo Questions)*

We are considering similar project, but worried about water damage to window or sill.

A: I had a local craftsman custom build the windows. It is likely if you go to a local lumber yard that serves builders and remodelers that they will have a vendor who can do the same. Good luck with your project!

**Q: Fixtures** *(in Photo Questions)*

What brand of plumbing fixtures are in this shower. I like the way the shower heads point downward from a horizontal supply pipe.

A: Thanks for your interest. The fixtures were made by Hansgrohe

**Q: Large walk-in shower** *(in Photo Questions)*

On cold nights, do u get cold showering in such a large space with a window?

A: These windows are double insulated, low-E glass, which is a pretty standard method of assembly for exterior glass these days. If you want extra insulation, some manufacturers now offer three layers of glass.
To answer your question, I have maintained a long relationship with the homeowners at this site, and they have yet to complain about cold in the bathroom/ shower.
Thanks for your interest, and good luck with your project!
