The end result was it is perfect, and we did it within budget. DC came in with a bid that was actually higher than all of the other bids I got and at first thought it would be a no go. Upon reviewing all the bids, I found out that DC's bid was the only one that had everything that would be required. Upon reviewing it with the other contractors, everyone said they would have "caught that" during construction and addressed it with a change order. That scared the crap out of me because I had to manage to a specific budget. In the end, we had to make a few adjustments to bring it in under budget, but we did, and the place came out great. Dax meet not only the budget but also the timeframe, that was tight. He was a pleasure to work with and the quality of work was outstanding. The man knows his stuff, and in the end, truly saved my project. DC was full of ideas on not only how to fix things, but also to improve the items overall - like better energy efficiency, better access to systems for ongoing maintenance, and so on.
