We needed a deck and screened porch built onto a new construction home. We contacted Paulo once the house was underway and he was very professional and knowledgeable about what we needed him to do for us. He provided excellent drawings that gave us insight to how the finished product would look. We decided to hire Grow Landscapes for the job and they began the process of getting HOA permissions and the permits required for the work. As soon as that process was complete, work began, even though it was between Thanksgiving and Christmas! The estimated 6 week job took around 3 months in total, but considering it was winter and the weather is unpredictable, I was pleased with the timing. Also, Paulo insists that his team do the job the right way, and you can't rush that! He also made sure they had what they needed, such as a porta-potty and dumpster for trash. They kept the worksite very clean and I never had an issue with any of the crew. They worked very hard, every day of the week (except usually Sunday). They showed up early and stayed until it was dark on work days. The only delays were weather or materials related. As with most contractors, communications were not always quick, but it was a better experience than I've had in the past. I also know Grow Landscapes has been working on improving overall communication and "back office" work, and it showed over the time that I have worked with them. Anytime I had questions or issues, all I had to do was contact Paulo or Jeanette and they would respond to straighten it out. He and his crew were very concerned that we were satisfied with the final product. I had a slight issue with the way the ceiling matched up with the siding on the wall, and I requested additional trim. Paulo and his carpenter were happy to find a solution and make sure I was satisfied with the result. We had a lot of moving pieces in this build, to include electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and they all fit together like a glove. The Paperbark Maple is of excellent quality and well shaped. The crew was courteous and polite. The nandinas and hydrangeas used in the new planting were of excellent quality and size.
