We bought our first home from David in 1994 in the framed stage. The sale is not the end of the relationship for David. It is the beginning. He helped us choose finishes and fixtures, which was reassuring, since we trust his taste more than our own. We raised our family happily in that home and have now moved into his most recent masterpiece. We loved the first home and had no great reason to move, other than a change of pace with the kids moving on and the desire for a bigger garage. We saw the new home and fell in love. To do our due diligence, we looked at every home in town within +/-35% price range and couldn't find anything that could compare. > David designs and builds with a sense of casual elegance. He employs just the right mix of architectural detail, fixtures and finishes. The systems behind the scenes are attended to just as importantly. Our new home not only has top notch appliances, but is built with great attention to environmental responsibility, designed in advance for both solar photovoltaic and solar hot water systems, and built in a "bathtub" of spray foam insulation into which the foundation was poured. > As with the first home, David stands by his creation. He maintains relationships with all his contractors and attends to all the little details after move-in to make sure living in the home is as he and we intended. He cares about the experience. Rather than pouring the final coat of asphalt on the driveway to make it look perfect for sale, he held off until after move-in so the heavy trucks don't mar the fresh surface. We've now asked David to build us an additional detached garage, something he conceptualized when he planned the home in the building envelope.
