We had looked at many different builder's model homes and were impressed with the quality of construction of Roeser, plus we fell in love with one of their models. Austin was very accommodating when we set down to design our home, as we did make a few modifications. He also did a great job of making recommendations after listening to my wife and I discuss what we did and didn't like. Once we had settled on our plans, Thad was also great to work with, as he was great about listening to what we wanted and making recommendations. Both were extremely responsive to questions or concerns, which was great as we were living several states away for this process. We changed our minds frequently on our plans, and they were both very supportive - not a hint of annoyance with how we flipped views multiple times. Anther thing that was nice about working with Roeser was they actually put in realistic allowances for lighting, plumbing, appliances, etc. This was in stark contrast to some friends who used another builder and didn't have much of any allowance built in for these items. The result is that we knew what our final price was going to be much more than our friends were. > > As with any construction job, there were a lot of delays that were mainly due to weather/etc. Our construction manager Kevin did a good job of keeping us up to date on the issues. There was a mad scramble to get it done by our (modified) deadline, but they came through for us. We have been in our home for about 5 months and are still very happy with the build quality and how the home turned out. There have been small issues here and there that have popped up, but the Roeser team has been great to make sure they get addressed quickly. One of the biggest reasons we chose Roeser was their reputation and quality…their homes are absolutely beautiful and they have several models to look at in person. This trust was established during our first meeting and strengthened even more throughout the process of our home build. > > Thad Snider is one of the most knowledgeable and personable guys we’ve ever met (not just talking home builders). During our first meeting he walked us through a couple of their models and explained pricing for some of the optional “adders”. It was so helpful to see the homes in person and really understand what you were getting with each “adder” by looking at the model. Some builders try to explain optional features by looking at pictures or just scrolling through a pricing sheet, which makes it very difficult to decide whether it’s worth the investment or not. Thad was very transparent with the entire process, especially with the pricing, and didn’t try to push us one way or the other. He also responds to texts/calls/emails at the speed of light…sometimes I thought it was an auto-reply because of how quick he responded. > > Throughout the build process Roeser was very communicative about the schedule and let us know early and often what was going on. This is where our Construction Manager Matt Davison came into the picture. Our new house was being built right around the corner from our old house so I’m sure we were some of the most nosy clients they’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. But Matt was awesome by providing frequent updates and explaining things when we had a question. He had a lot of good ideas for our build every step of the way, even providing a custom design for our deck and stairs when we couldn’t make a decision. It was a pleasure working with Matt…he’s great at his job and really made us comfortable every step of the way.
