Triple Heart Design is Denver based luxury interior design studio specializing in organic modern kitchens, spa bathrooms, and full-home renovations, guiding homeowners through the complete planning process from pre-construction clarity through construction documents and contractor coordination.

Founded by Shelagh Conway, NARI CotY National Award winner, NKBA 1st Place Large Kitchen, and 10× Best of Houzz honoree, Triple Heart Design serves as your design advocate. For full-service projects, Shelagh remains involved through completion, coordinating trades, supporting contractor communication, and resolving design decisions as they arise during the build. She works alongside the architect and contractor you choose, bringing deep expertise, rigorous space planning, and clear decision-making to every phase of your project.

Every project follows the same sequence: consultation and space planning first, material selections and design development second, construction documents and trade coordination third. Design decisions are resolved before construction starts, because the most expensive mistakes happen when they're made in reverse.

Our aesthetic is organic modern: natural materials, intentional flow, biophilic design, and spaces built to last. We serve Denver's finest neighborhoods, including Bow Mar, Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Washington Park, and Hilltop, Colorado's mountain communities including Telluride, Vail, and Steamboat Springs, and select clients nationally.

> We are so happy we went with Shelagh to help with our kitchen remodel! 5 things stood out to me.
> 1\) Ideation - Our kitchen had a tricky layout, & she was able to creatively help us problem solve the space to make it more functional.
> 2\) Aesthetic sensibility - She really understood our vision and was able to help us create a kitchen that fit our aesthetic & the vibe of the rest of our home.
> 3\) Flexibility - Shelagh was always patient with us when we wanted any changes made to the designs.
> 4\) Communication - Shelagh hashed out the nitty gritty details with our contractor (& even their subcontractors), & then asked us for our opinions once they had solid options. This helped make the process less overwhelming, as it was our first larger home reno project.
> 5\) Guidance - There were a lot of things that we didn't know we didn't know, but having Shelagh bring things to my attention along the way gave me peace of mind. She even recommended a contractor to work with (Chx2 construction) who also turned out to be great.
> Overall loved the experience & will be working with Shelagh again for any future projects.

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> Diana, thank you so much for the thoughtful review and touching on areas that I strive to deliver in every remodel project. It was such a joy to collaborate with you both on your gorgeous kitchen remodel and see how beautifully it integrated into your very zen home! I look forward to future projects as well!

> We are so grateful to Shelagh! She took our awkward, dated house and transformed it into a beautiful, elegant home. Shelagh is calm, organized and talented. She’s really the whole package and a wonderful soul. To ensure HOA compliance while getting what we wanted, she was a patient, professional advocate for me. Even though this was a major renovation, she made the process easy and enjoyable. On several occasions, Shelagh pushed me out of my design comfort zone and it was so worth it. I could have played it safe but my home wouldn’t have been nearly as special.

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> Thank you! What a beautiful home we created together! We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with your family on creating comfortable luxury living spaces to be enjoyed by family and friends.

**★★★★★ — pkilby, Dec. 2020**

> Shelagh brought fresh ideas to the design process and helped us see beyond our limited perspective. With her help, we updated our entire home while honoring some of more traditional architectural elements. The space has been completely transformed and is now a more bright, open, and functional. Shelagh is especially good at selecting fixtures, tile, finishes, and fabrics that tie a home together. In a major remodel like ours, selecting everything can be quite overwhelming and lead to decision fatigue. Shelagh helped us envision a new look for our home and then gave us suggestions and samples that we loved immediately. During the construction phase, Shelagh kept on top of the project, communicated frequently with us and the contractor, and responded quickly to questions and issues. She was a patient counselor through many, many decisions that had to be made throughout the process. We are grateful for all Shelagh has done to make our home a beautiful place to live!

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> Thank you!! It was such a pleasure to work with you and your family on your beautifully remodeled home!

She did a fabulous job designing our living room based on our preferences and stayed within our budget. We were very pleased!

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> WOW! Shelagh and THD blew our minds at every step of the design and build process. It's always scary spending this kind of money and dealing with contractors, etc, but not only did Shelagh come with professionalism and an artists eye, she takes in all feedback from us and is willing to listen, co-generate ideas, and work as a team to create our dream kitchen. Shelagh went above and beyond in several key areas: 1. intaking customer concerns, she knew where we'd get nervous about something and spoke to us as people, meaning she didn't talk to us like just 'another client' or one of her contractors, she treated us like her own family and supported our thoughts throughout the process. 2. follow through, she didn't let anybody off the hook, even when we were 'okay' with something, if the work done didn't meet the expectations she had of herself, she pushed for perfection and on more than one occasion, we found ourselves thankful for that quality in her work. 3. peace of mind, this is a big one for any homeowner, shelagh was available when we had an idea, she picked up the phone when we called with a concern, and we knew from the get-go that she wouldn't sleep unless she knew we were at peace with the process. I can't speak highly enough for his company!

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> Thank you!! This kitchen..WOW is right! What an incredible updated space for your family to enjoy! I am beyond thrilled with the outcome and know you will enjoy it for years!

**★★★★★ — Justine, Jan. 2020**

> From start to finish, I couldn’t have imagined a smoother process on the refresh of our kitchen and living areas. A design project takes time, and you want to work with someone who is not only an industry professional but has care and concern for your project. At each step of the process, Shelagh at Triple Heart Design was highly professional, provided excellent communication, was available to discuss options and choices, worked within our available budget, and most importantly, brought a brilliant eye for design that resulted in cohesive, beautiful living spaces for our home. There are many moving parts to a design project and Triple Heart Design consistently went above and beyond to see our project to completion.

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> Thank you!! Creating your unique and personalized space was a true joy for our team and we are so happy with the final designs! It turned out so pretty!

**★★★★★ — HU-488881952, Dec. 2019**

> Shelagh is the bomb dignity of designers. I was lost after purchasing the main furniture. She came in and transformed my office , dining room and living room with the extra details and accessories to give it the wow factor.
> If you are looking for a patient, flexible, give you what you want designer.... hire Triple Heart!

**★★★★★ — Nina Birnbaum, Dec. 2019**

> Shelagh Conway helped us transform our 24-year-old home into a beautiful, bright and peaceful space. It’s like a brand new home and exactly what we wanted! Working with Shelagh was amazing. She’s extremely talented and easy to work with. She helped us make wise decisions during our remodel from replacing carpet with hardwood floors to ensuring continuity throughout our home with hardware, paint colors, décor, light fixtures and countertops. We would highly recommend Triple Heart Design.

**★★★★★ — Heather McClintock, Sept. 2019**

> Shelagh did an amazing job on our recent kitchen remodel. We were struggling with a dark, confined space that was no longer working for our growing family of four. She took the time to listen to our needs and created a space that is beyond what i could have envisioned. She truly is a design genius and you will not be disappointed when you hire her for your next project!

**Comment from Triple Heart Design:**

> It was such a pleasure to work with your family to find the perfect solution for your growing boys! There will be many years of gathering around the island with love and laughter and I'm so grateful to be a part of your journey!!

**★★★★★ — Michelle Harry, Jan. 2019**

> Shelagh designed the master bed and bath of my dreams! This started as a master bath/closet remodel only. Her work was so amazing that the scope quickly spread to include a hall bath, laundry room, and dining room as well as miscellaneous items throughout the house. Starting from the bare studs to the finished project, right down to linens, Shelagh designed and managed every detail to perfection. She has an excellent working relationship with the contractor we used and usually the two of them could take care of the day to day questions/issues on their own. I appreciate the time Shelagh took to really understand our tastes and preferences. The final outcome truly exceeded out expectations. I will definitely call her again when it's time for my kitchen and living room remodel.

**★★★★★ — Mary Pedersen, Jan. 2019**

> I visited an Open House of a remodeled home in my neighborhood and knew immediately that I wanted Shelagh Conway, of Triple Heart Design to help me remode my bathroom. On our first visit I shared with her what I was hoping for and presented her with a challenge to give me the new bathroom without changing the existing tile floor based on my budget for the project. On our second visit, when I saw the colors of the tile, granite, cabinets, and walls I knew she had listened to me. Shelagh also provided me with information and vendors to get the items I needed for my contractor. Her expertise and efficiency helped make my remodel easy and the results ended with a “piece of heaven “ with my new beautiful bathroom. I will contact her again for my next project.

**★★★★★ — Jordan Valente Construction LLC, Jan. 2019**

> We have worked with Triple Heart Design on numerous projects and each one has been a success. Sometimes its a bit of a juggling act balancing clients and designers but Triple Heart Design always does a great job of keeping the project online and clients focused. Designs are unique and creative while still being attainable from a contractors point of view. If the client or myself needs clarification, details, etc. we always get the information right away. If I am not able to build exactly as designed, Triple Heart is always able to provide excellent alternatives that keeps the projects moving and clients happy. I would gladly refer any of my clients to Triple Heart Design. I look forward to many more projects with Triple Heart Design.

## Community Q&A

**Q: What would you do with this trim?** *(in Windows)*

Renovating kitchen to a French farmhouse look and can't decide what to do with the trim around the windows, sliding door and basement door. Should I replace them with all white moulding? Should I keep any of the the stained wood trim, perhaps on the sliding door and the windows opposite them, but make the arched window and basement door moulding white? The stained wood will coordinate with the basement door, a wooden range hood, wood ceiling beams, recliaimed wood floor and the tall pantry cabinets. But is stained wood trim outdated? Should I just make it all white trim? Or would you keep some of the stained wood trim?

Two tall pantry cabinets will frame the arched window in an antique amber finish, similar to the wood trim shown but a bit darker. Planning to put a light-colored loveseat under the arched window. There will be a long drapery table with marble top running horizontal to the sliding doors. Cabinets in the front half of kitchen will be white. Backsplash will be arabascoto marble subway stone. Countertops will be light grey Santa Rita Soapstone. Floor will be reclaimed rustic oak.

A: It all starts with the floors and builds up!
