MSCH donated their services for this project, to which we, as a small church with limited resources, are very grateful. Ours was a complex project with many unknowns, as the wooden steeple is approx 120' high, built in the 1800's, hasn't been touched in quite some time, with no easy access (we rented a lift for the subs to access and do the work). We utilized some unique and creative approaches throughout the project, from assessing the work to be done with a drone, to recreating historically accurate replacement parts, to resolving challenges on the job site. Upon gaining access to the steeple with the lift (to reach 120 feet high), Dan and the carpenters confirmed the level of decay and developed a fair balance between preserving historical elements and remediating the decaying wooden structure. Dan was on site everyday, always smiling and willing to explain what's happening, and ready to resolve any issues the subs uncovered. The subs were very professional and friendly as well. Dan and Don managed the project in a very professional manner, between our church, the subcontractors and suppliers, and finished the project within our budget and on time. With the lighting they also installed, our newly restored and repainted steeple is once again a shining icon in our town, visible to all in our community, and will stand tall for many years to come. > As the steeple restoration committee chair, I had frequent interactions with Dan, Don, and the rest of the team from MSCH from planning through completion.
