George and Randy have been involved in the planting and weekly maintenance of the yard. Our back yard includes a pool, huge goldfish pond, greenhouse, huge fountain we were bringing in from our previous residence, and a pergola. We had to work within the constraints of a huge oak tree we were trying to save, shade and four dogs. We have a combination of pavers, canine grass, plantings, and an aggregate area in the rear yard. In the front yard, we wanted to continue on with the Acadiana look of the design of the house. They planted a good size oak tree on one side and a holly tree on the other side. All this was tied in by large beddings of plants. Under one front window, Brian was able to incorporate a sugar kettle with a statue (that we brought with us) into a special area with pavers and miniature mondo grass, water and a water lily. > We hired Daly-Sublette to maintain our yard. Aside from cutting the grass in the front, they blow off the entire backyard , WEED, manicure the plants, and then PICK UP the leaves and debris . We have no grass in the back yard. At appropriate times they will change our annuals, fertilize, etc. > The thing that was very important to me was that Brian listened to me and was able to use a lot of things that we have accumulated over the last 70 years. As a gardner for a lot of years, I had some strong opinions of what I wanted and did not want.
