I say dream property, because it was a far cry from our dream home. Barbour Spangle Design has continued to help this "dream" become our reality. We originally hired Christi Barbour to come and help us turn this house into our home. The house was 4500 sq feet with 2 bedrooms, separate guest quarters, and a 2000 sq foot semi-attached dog kennel. Yep, dog kennels. This was NOT going to work for my growing family of five. > Our master suite was the first project. Christi Barbour helped my husband and I create a dreamy bedroom, completely our style. We started from scratch. She helped us to find everything from paint to furniture. I am a slow decision maker, Christi's extreme patience and understanding was much appreciated. She was repectful of our taste, style and budget. We have finally finished the last details of the room this summer with help from their newest designer Stacey Yow. After searching for the perfect bedside lamps for over a year myself, Stacey found them in less than two days. The team is very effecient and has a intuition for what a client wants. > The next project was overwhelming for us. We only had two bedrooms in the house, two children and one on the way. Christi was asked to turn dog kennels into a children's wing with a playroom, bedrooms and bathroom. Barbour Spangle took us through every step from helping to find the right contractor and designing a beautiful layout that was not only funtional but kept the beauty, flow and integrity of the original house. We look at our addition now and can not even remember what it looked like before! > We still have many project ahead of us, and with the help of Christi Barbour and Stacey Yow, I am confident we will bring everything together. I can't say enough about how amazing they are to work with, especially our designer Christi Barbour. Although, the entire office seemed like they were involved in our project and knew what was going on at all times. This is extremely helpful if my wife or I ever had a question or concern and speaks to how well they work together and communicate. That level of professionalism and service is greatly appreciated! One little anecdote, there was an issue with one of our lights so I called the studio manager, Kelley Werran, so she could let Christi know when she got out of her meeting. Kelley said she would take care of it and had the issue resolved by the close of business that day. What a team! > > On the design side they've hit a home room on every project. They are exceptional at bringing together our style and wish list, furniture, fixtures, paint colors to make the finished project look amazing. One of the things I really enjoyed was going to the studio, they are never afraid to call in their colleagues for second, third, fourth ....opinions if needed. You always leave their very comfortable and confident with the decisions you've made, knowing that they got it right.
