PCS was launched in 2008 in the midst of the largest recession in recent history.  I realized that even with the building industry in turmoil, there was a market for honest and reliable contractors. ## Community Q&A

**Q: Behind shower head and handle** *(in Photo Questions)*

What did you use behind the shower head and handle? How was it sealed to prevent water running behind that piece?

A: The block is weather resistant Cedar.  We used a (2) coat poly sealer and caulked the perimeter with 100% silicone.  We also have Ice & Water shield behind the metal panels.

**Q: The outside cut edges** *(in Photo Questions)*

How did you treat the outside edge of the cut tiles?

A: We used a standard 3X6 bullnose for the niche and seat. We used Schluter bullnose trim for the long vertical sections of the shower door entrance.

**Q: Backing type** *(in Photo Questions)*

When you say 'Ice and water shield backing', are you talking about duration or hardy board? Or a membrane?
Also, how is this attached to the wall? Thanks!

A: We used 1/2" Durrock as a backerboard.  Ice & Watershield is a peel and stick rubber membrane found at most roofing supply companies.  The Ice & Watershield was applied over the Durrock.  The galvanized panels were installed with self tapping screws that had a built in rubber washer.   The screws can also be found at roofing supply companies.

**Q: What grade metal is this?  Will it rust?** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: 22 Gauge Galvanized Corrugated Roofing Panels.  No, they will not rust.   We also applied an ice & watershield backer behind the panels.

A: The granite color was called "Black Pearl Silk".
