Tan Nguyen is an excellent listener, has very creative ideas and designed exactly what we were looking for. Even better, Tan came up with with a stunning design to maximize every single view of the lake and helped us visualize what we wanted.  Not only were we pleased with the results, but the lake home design was recent featured in a Lake magazine.  Tan Nguyen is a very gifted architect.  We knew we would work well together because he listened carefully and created thoughtful, feasible solutions.  We are now in Austin TX and in the process of remodeling out home.  We wish we have another Nguyen Architect here to help us!

> We hired Nguyen Architect for our very first remodeling project for a modern empty nest home. The project was daunting due to the smoking damage by the previous owner. Tan has provided us with all the contractors needed for the project . Tan new open concept design was not what we we would expected to see , but took about 2 seconds for us to go for it .  I wanted a kitchen island , and his design gave me a 7 feet center island with a water fall granite design . We use the Cashmere White granite with lots of textures and grains to maximize the effect. It is beautiful as it functional .
> To open the space , Tan has glass stair railing , white trims, frosted glass door and bright chrome hardware to give the house a modern and polished look.
> We were so happy with the result, we decided to have him designed a three season porch, the landscape , and patio.

> We chose Tan Nguyen as our architect because we had seen pictures of what he had done in a remodel of an acquaintances home.  We were told that Tan would be very easy to work with.  After our first meeting with Tan this proved to be the case.  He listened to what we wanted to achieve in our remodel and by our second meeting he came back with drawings and proposal that blew us away with excitement.  We loved his proposal and felt confident that he would work closely with us to work within our budget.  He transformed our modest 1975 home and gave our kitchen, living/dining area and entry the contemporary, modern and functional character we were looking for.   He was instrumental in helping us to find a great contractor, wonderful cabinets, flooring wood species and stain color, wall colors and many helpful suggestions on lighting and accessories.  Nguyen Architects proved to be everything we had heard and turned out to be a perfect fit for our project.

A: Hi,  I believe that has traditional solid 3/4" thick Lyptus plank flooring.

I’m wanting designs of open floor plans, lots of natural lighting and fire place! Can someone design a home and then draw up the blue prints? Or what is it you do?

A: Hi Donna,
That's exactly what I do, design custom homes and cabins.  I'll work with you to create a home according to your needs, create the blueprints for construction, and work with your builder during construction.  I can help with the entire process or as much as you would like.  I can explain the process more on the phone.  Let me know if you want to se up a time to discuss.

A: The bathtub has mahogany planks with a clear finish on them.

A: Yes, there is hydronic heat in the concrete slab on the main level.
