**Q: Trim** *(in Photo Questions)*

What type of what is the trim? And what color is it stained?

A: I'm not sure what "trim" you're referring to. If it's the door & window casing it is original to the home. I'm not sure what the stain color is but the trim is standard Pine colonial casing.

A: No, I'm sorry I don't know a specific brand. I just know that the sink came from Ikea.

Hi I was wondering who makes the Acacia hardwood flooring?  Thanks

A: I'm currently doing another project for this customer. I had opportunity to be in the kitchen this past week. The flooring has been down for over two years and appears to holding up quite well.

**Q: Need help!  Contractor thinks leaving it like this is ok....** *(in Design Dilemma)*

Can you see what I'm talking about?  I don't like the unfinished edge.  What's everyone's thoughts?

A: There could be many discussions here.

Not knowing all the details I will try to shy away from the blame game.

Bottom line, you, as the customer are not happy with the end result.

I see a possible solution - a preformed ceramic shower niche. This of course will only work if you can achieve an acceptable "rough opening" size.

We have utilized the ceramic niches on several recent bath remodels and so far everyone loves them.

If you're lucky one of these niches may fit right into the existing recess.

Regardless of the solution it's almost always best to sort it with the original contractor. 
Your contractor should want this resolved as much as you do and other contractors will be reluctant to get in the middle of your "design dilemma". 

Remodels can often encounter situations like this. It should have been addressed up front but it wasn't .Look for a mutually agreeable solution and a happy ending for all....
