Owner Susan Guest, has the talent, training, education, and vision to make your project a success. Susan thought she had her life all planned until, as she puts it, she was “bitten by the design bug.” She initially planned to pursue a music degree, but ended up with one in design after taking a design class on a whim. The rest, as they say, is history. Warm and approachable, Susan has the ability to make a large, seemingly painful project fun. “My clients can have an entire new look without having to leave their homes,” she says. After graduating magna cum laude from University of Mississippi in 1984, Susan’s continued commitment to excellence is reflected in her involvement in ASID (American Society of Interiors Designers) as 2013-14 President, NCIDQ certification, and receiving a residential design specialty award from the Carolinas chapter of ASID. Susan is proud to have her work featured in “Spectacular Homes of the Carolinas.” She is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. ### Services Provided - Interior Design - Kitchen Design - Bathroom Design - Living Room Design - Bedroom Design - Space Planning - Color Consulting - Furniture Selection - Dining Room Design - Lighting Design - Entry Design - Floor Plans - Custom Bathroom Vanities - Custom Furniture - Art Selection - Basement Design - Custom Rugs - Historic Building Conservation ### Areas Served - Hickory - Boone - Newton - Saint Stephens - Conover - Sawmills - Granite Falls - Longview - Hudson - Maiden - Bethlehem - Mountain View - Taylorsville - Claremont - Hildebran - Icard - Northlakes - Blowing Rock - Sherrills Ford - Rhodhiss - Catawba - Brookford - Valle Crucis - Deep Gap - Sugar Grove - Terrell - Vilas - Zionville ### Typical Job Cost $5,000 - 100,000 Design fees charged typically by the hour, but packages can also be developed. ## Business Details | Field | Value | | --- | --- | | Business Name | Guest Interiors, LLC | | Address | 904 3rd Ave. NW, Hickory, North Carolina 28601, United States | | Phone | (828) 244-5738 | | Website | http://www.guestinteriors.com | | License Number | 10459 | | Followers on Houzz | 57 | **Social profiles:** - Facebook — https://www.facebook.com/Guest-Interiors-LLC-162049730527169/?hc\_ref=SEARCH&fref=nf - LinkedIn — https://www.linkedin.com/in/susan-guest-09677b20?trk=extra\_biz\_connect\_hb\_upphoto - Blog — http://www.guestinteriors.com/about/ ## Contact - **Houzz profile:** [Guest Interiors, LLC](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/interior-designers-and-decorators/guest-interiors-llc-pfvwus-pf~1636125199) - **Website:** http://www.guestinteriors.com - **Phone:** (828) 244-5738 ## Credentials **Certifications & Awards** - ASID residential award, work featured in "Spectacular Homes of the Carolinas", NCIDQ certified, Professional member of American Society of Interior Designers - **Best of Houzz:** 6 awards (2015–2022), for Design, Service. **Affiliations** - [American Society of Interior Designers](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/schools-and-organizations/american-society-of-interior-designers-pfvwus-pf~1510192642) - [NCIDQ Examination](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/schools-and-organizations/ncidq-examination-pfvwus-pf~882083937) ## Reviews **Overall rating: 5.0 out of 5 — 13 reviews** ### Reviews **★★★★★ — Tanya Hartsoe, July 2019** > Susan Guest, owner of Guest Intertiors is very professional, incredibly knowledgeable and provides top notch quality service! I was more impressed with her listening skills, her willingness to accommodate my needs/wants, all while keeping me within my budget. I had sentimental items (that didn't match a thing but, I wanted to display them), I had furniture that I wanted to use (even though it was way too much boring brown) and on top of that I wasn't willing to repaint my walls... however, I wanted a new fresh look. Seriously, how could I expect her to make something NEW out of virtually everything old? But she totally did it! I was so impressed and amazed. So talented and visionary! She rearranged everything, made some color suggestions on painting a table, recommended some succulents to bring in some color and life and made the simplest suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of. Now I LOVE my dining and living area and I've gotten compliments from everyone that has come to visit. It is much more spacious, welcoming and all blends beautifully! **Comment from Guest Interiors, LLC:** > Thank you, Tanya, for your kind review. You are a fun client! **★★★★★ — Tammie Williams, June 2019** > Susan is such an awesome designer! She listens and learns what her clients need and want. She finds a way to make the experience profession but easy! She goes beyond what is required to make sure everyone is satisfied and happy! **★★★★★ — elainepope, Nov. 2017** > Guest Interiors helped me design 4 homes. > > Each time Susan captures my desires. She knows how to capture her client’s preferences. She does not have cookie cutter approach. She creates an environment that makes me and guests who visit my home feel comfortable. > > She also creates a home that can move quickly in the real estate market if you need to move. Every time I place a home on the market that Susan designed, it sells in 5 to 30 days. She just knows how to make everything work together. > > She is quick, professional and always listens. Guest Interiors is the place to go if you want to enjoy the process and the outcome. **Comment from Guest Interiors, LLC:** > Elaine, it is always a fun challenge to work with you! Susan was mindful of our budget limitation and yet provided exceptional design work and guidance for our project. With Susan's help two facilities were renovated and our open house was a huge success. I would recommend Susan Guest to anyone who is renovating or building! **Comment from Guest Interiors, LLC:** > DeLane, it was both a challenge and a pleasure to work with you on two Sipe's Children's Home buildings. Many items were donated by local manufacturers and it was amazing to see how many volunteers and donors helped to make the project a success. Looking forward to starting the next project with you soon! **★★★★★ — Re/MAX A-Team, Aug. 2017** > Susan Guest has amazing talent with design! I needed assistance with a home that I was marketing for sale. The home had too many pieces of furniture and accessories and Susan was able to scale it back and make it look fantastic. I have also seen Susan's work in creating beautiful home and office interiors. Her ability to make any space shine seems to be second nature. I highly recommend hiring Susan! > Meredith Miller Carswell **Comment from Guest Interiors, LLC:** > Meredith, this means alot coming from you. As a realtor, you see so many homes and office! **★★★★★ — Jean Patton, March 2017** > Susan is fantastic to work with because she's always enthusiastic with any challenge that comes her way. She has great ideas and a wonderful sense of color. I asked her to help me with a small job (approximately $3000) and she worked within that budget. She willingly came to my home so we could see how fabrics would look. I would definitely work with Susan again. **Comment from Guest Interiors, LLC:** > Cathy, thanks for allowing me to help on your project! She helped us with overall design as well as furniture, fabric, and color choices. She is really wonderful to work with - professional and fun at the same time. She takes the time to really understand your tastes and requirements. I have seen examples of her work that were done in various different decor styles and they are all fantastic.
