> We hired Wiggers Construction to do our kitchen remodel in November. We knew exactly what we wanted, including repurposing some of our cabinets, new countertop, kitchen sink, hardwood flooring, lighting and much more. The workmanship is top notch, David listened to our ideas, offered great suggestions. He has a great "eye" for what he does and he wants it done to the client's satisfaction. We are thrilled with our new kitchen!

> We have been more than happy with the work Wiggers Construction has done for us. From a stick-built "man shop",to a major kitchen upgrade, to a "princess garden shed", Wiggers has always surpassed our expectations and came in under their bid. But even more valuable than that are the creative ideas and solutions he brings to the table when all we have are rough ideas and tight budgets. We would recommend Wiggers for any project big or small!

> Dave helped me with an extensive remodel of a 1950's home. He did an excellent job, and the home came out great. He had broad expertise, and provided valuable insights which aided decision making. He did a great job on the construction - his trade skills are solid. More than just a contractor.... a solid source of knowledge and advice.

## Community Q&A

**Q: Need Serious Help With Curb Appeal!** *(in Design Dilemma)*

We purchased this home last March and have been working on the interior. The exterior baffles me. With budget in mind, I need some help with curb appeal. We have added carriage house details to the garage, taken down the shutters and added 4" trim around the windows (not painted yet). The siding is vinyl and it seems like any changes are huge tasks. We have put new rock in the front flower bed and added some plantings. We were thinking about putting rock on the front middle (two story area) and painting the trim a dark green/brown color called "potting soil." I am thinking of maybe a french farmhouse look since that is the feel of the inside. We also have a large shop next to the house that I want to make match whatever we do here. I hate the space between the front middle area. It just looks so out of place. Help!

A: One idea would be to continue gutter across the front with roof line to break up tall wall. Then I would suggest painting the upper section a different color, maybe a dark co trasting color.

**Q: countertop selection for snackbar in rec room** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I am getting a formica countertop and I like Bianca luna but I'm worried my backplash is too dark for it. Should I get a darker gray or black counter instead??

A: Yes, the darker counter will give you contrast and look better.

**Q: What can I replace the tiles with?** *(in Design Dilemma)*

I would like to update this fireplace to something rustic modern.

A: I like the reclaimed wood mantel idea. You can also get different styles of bricks that are sliced to tile thickness at lowes. They have one there I think it is called a pub brick that has the edges knocked off to make it look old or reclaimed. You can apply the brick just like tile and it would give you a rustic look.
