When the glass was originally designed the idea was to block the unpleasant view of the fence and to be able to see through glass beautiful nature gardens. For this purpose all panels are composed with heavily textured glasses on the bottom and light mouth blown antiques on the top. I hope that at the new place all glass panels will serve the same purpose - to beatify the house interior and to allow beautiful views of nature to be a part of the owner's everyday living. This particular glass dome (10 feet diameter) is lit by natural light from a comparatively small roof skylight. It is possible to achieve good result with artificial lighting as well. Glass domes of this size demand good planning and special preparation of the opening.
