> My husband and I embarked on a remodel of our kitchen in January, 2015. We had a modest budget and we're determined to stick to it, even though we had both agreed that we wanted granite countertops and we KNEW they were not going to be cheap. After looking at prices of granite at two of the major home improvement stores, we were, quite frankly, stunned at the $65-$70 a square foot price. But then I urged my husband to let us check out Carmel Stone in Sand City, Ca., just 25 minutes from our home. I had to admit that the name itself was a bit intimidating since anything that bears the word "Carmel" usually comes with a hefty pricetag.  Wow, was I wrong in this case! We found a gorgeous slab of black with bits of silvery sheen in it for $19/sq. ft.--a far cry from $65 that the other places wanted. We were politely approached by a Salesman by the name of Doan who patiently answered our questions and did all the necessary measurements and figuring for us. He was even able to refer us to 2 fabricators and another contractor who could seal the granite. We called a fabricator and he agreed to pick up the slab from CS and take it to his shop. He did a first-class fabrication job and the Sealer contractor was equally efficient and fair. All in all, the entire purchase experience was seamless and pleasant. I would highly recommend Carmel Stone to anyone looking for quality granite at an awesome price.and professional service!

What are the dimensions of this walk in shower?

A: Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. The shower walls are designed with our signature Calacatta Gold Supreme 2cm Slabs with a Calacatta Gold ¾” x12 “ towards the bottom of the shower walls, and a Calacatta Gold Cagliari Honed 1 3/4" x 12"  Chair rail towards the top. The shower floor is designed with our Calacatta Gold Honed Venetian Basketweave Mosaic with Calacatta Gold 3" x 12” honed border tile around the perimeter of the floor mosaic.
