> After a disastrous experience with a previous remodeling contractor, we were pleasantly surprised with On The Level Remodeling Company. Zandy responded the same day of our initial inquiry with his availability.
> Shortly thereafter, he began remodeling our bathroom. Zandy and his subcontractors were professional, reliable, honest and did excellent work. The project was within budget and completed in less than seven days. Zandy will be our first call on the next project. Highly recommended!
> Eagle, Idaho

> Thank you, It was a pleasure to work with you.

> Renovations are never easy - but our kitchen/living room remodel with Zandy from On The Level Remodeling was just that: easy. From design/pre-planning all the way through the final stages of the remodel, Zandy was extremely communicative and made the whole process enjoyable. Zandy is very personable which put my mind at ease during the renovation because I knew I could pick up the phone at any time to call him about any small detail. He always made time for me and I never once had to chase him down to get answers. Zandy truly wants what’s best for his clients and is willing to go to bat with sub-contractors and/or vendors to make sure the client is happy with the final product. We enjoyed working with Zandy so much so that our project scope continued to grow from kitchen/living room, to a new stair railing, two new bathrooms, etc. If you want a contractor who is going to look out for you through the whole remodeling process and work hard to ensure you get exactly what you want, Zandy at On The Level Remodeling is your guy!

**Comment from On The Level Remodeling Company:**

> Thank you Kaitlin. We all enjoyed working with you and look forward to future projects.

> We had a successful and easy whole-house renovation with On the Level Remodeling Co. Zandy Butler and his carpenter Matt Morgan were honest, professional and prompt in any communication. When we had some surprises after opening up the second floor, Zandy and his team solved the problem efficiently and in a cost effective way. I would hire On the Level for any project in the future. We were in good hands!

**Comment from On The Level Remodeling Company:**

> Thank you Susan, it was a pleasure to work with you on this project.

**★★★★★ — Francine Fitzpatrick, June 2018**

> Attention to detail, as well as, value placed on true craftsmanship were essential when I remodeled my kitchen. Also, I was working within a definite budget and time frame.
>
> Am SO glad I chose Zandy Butler as my contractor. His company, On the Level Remodeling, has a consistently high standard, which came through time after time in the process. His subcontractors are the cream of the crop, dedicated professionals. His thoughtful, considered way of approaching his work, makes it easy to collaborate.
>
> We’ve all heard stories from friends and family of endless, fumbling remodel projects. Save yourself the wear and tear. With Zandy, integrity is fundamental, and he will do things right!

**Comment from On The Level Remodeling Company:**

> Thank you Francine. It was a pleasure working with you!

**★★★★★ — Laura Hallstone, Nov. 2016**

> Zandy and his team at On The Level did a remodel of our master bathroom. We decided we wanted to eliminate a built in, put in new countertops, sinks, and faucets, replace our shower door and install a free standing tub. He worked with us every step of the way - from recommending resources for tile to making recommendations on layout. We were more than pleased with the work that his team did and would not hesitate to work with him again.

**Comment from On The Level Remodeling Company:**

> Thank you Laura. It was our pleasure and we look forward to working with you on future projects.

> We hired On the Level Remodeling to remodel our hall and master bathrooms and paint three bedrooms with adjoining hallway. We enlarged the master, added tile floors, a new bathtub with tile surround and new cabinets.
>
> We were very happy with the results. Zandy was readily available and handled the project with humor, understanding and high standards. The master bath required moving walls and a complicated transom window. We had a vision for this bathroom that demanded finesse and a great design sense. Zandy ran with our vision and made it reality. He was professional and dependable throughout.
>
> His workers were hard working and polite; the sub-contractors were on time and on budget. I warned Zandy that we were particularly picky about tile work. His tile installer was great, discussing layout with us and checking in along the way. The plumbing work, cabinet work and painting were all excellent.
>
> We highly recommend On the Level Remodeling.

> \*project date is an estimate
> We hired On The Level to excavate a new entrance to our basement and add a couple of egress windows. Zandy entertained every monotonous question we had and was a real treat to work with - on budget (with amendments for unforeseen drainage issues), on time and very professional. It's like he was born a contractor! We even had a misunderstanding about gutter drainage, which added to the cost, but Zandy offered to take care of it on principle. Top notch in my view.
> (Though it's taken me two years and change to write a review!)

**Comment from On The Level Remodeling Company:**

> Thank you for the nice review, I really appreciate it. I hope the basement is working out well for you. I am a second generation contractor so I sort of was born a contractor. ;-)

**★★★★★ — Wendy Foster, April 2015**

> A combination of circumstances led me to do major work on my house in my third trimester of pregnancy. Since I opted for such craziness, I am so glad that I went with Zandy and On the Level. He was quick to respond, knew how to address any lead paint issues, made recommendations about what was most cost-effective, and gave me a timeline that was followed to a T. I chose to stay elsewhere during the construction, but did stop by after work to pick up mail. Each time, whatever work had been scheduled for that day was completed and no scraps or mess was left behind. Zandy remedied a few minor problems (like some debris falling into the furnace air intake) immediately. It was exactly what I expected when finished.

> This was our first time remodeling a place so I was pretty nervous about choosing the right company for the project. We were looking to replace all the cabinetry, replace all the closet doors, and remodel the kitchen, bathroom, and staircase. Zandy's professionalism and organization made this a hassle-free experience. He was very upfront throughout the entire process and I also appreciated how clean his subcontractors were able to keep the place even with so many things going on. We are very happy with the final product and highly recommend him. If you are looking to have your remodeling project done in an honest, straightforward, and timely manner, then Zandy is your guy.

**★★★★★ — janetlauer, May 2014**

> We worked with Zandy for over 11 years completely remodeling our home. In all that time he was honest, meticulous, and very easy to work with. From the tile work, hardwood floors, two bathrooms, kitchen and even the roof and windows, he was always there for us. He constantly strives to have the best subs and it shows in their work.
>
> Hire him; you will not be disappointed!!

**★★★★★ — honeyimhome14, May 2014**

> On The Level Remodeling Company did a fabulous job on building a new garage for me! I was nervous about this big endeavor, but Zandy (owner and contractor) and his crew answered all my questions as we worked together. I saw a design for the garage on the internet and Zandy made it happen exactly as I wanted – plus some! He was spot on with how long I was told the job would take. No unplanned delays or mishaps and was always a step ahead of me, took care of issues he knew would work out better for me.
>
> Along with a brand new garage, Zandy helped me with a few smaller projects that were just as important: a small deck added to my upstairs living area, a pergola with a stamped cement pad that made a beautiful extended living area for my yard, miscellaneous electrical work in my basement and new paint for the outside of the house.
>
> With the experience I had I would highly recommend On The Level Remodeling Company for any home remodel or new build.

**★★★★★ — randyyo, March 2014**

> Zandy was a pleasant person to do business with. He delivered what he said he would at the price we agreed on. He manages his subs well and makes sure they perform to his high standards. I liked the fact that he is curious; looking for ways to better the next time.
>
> He proved himself to be trustworthy.

## Community Q&A

**Q: patagonia** *(in Photo Questions)*

is this patagonia granite on the counter? thank you

A: It sure is! We looked at several and then found and fell in love with this one.

**Q: Tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

could you tell me which tile and color this is?

A: Sonoma Stellar Trestle
Elongated Hexagon Color is APPLE

**Q: Where did you purchase your backsplash tile?** *(in Photo Questions)*

My girlfriend and I are deciding on a backsplash tile and cannot decide but we like this one. Like you, we have a Patagonia island and black perimeter.

A: No, this is what was on the invoice: Otm 6x20 Textured gloss ice breaker. VERY hard to cut. Order lots of extra because it breaks easily, which is frustrating for the cost of it.

**Q: Love the kitchen layout!** *(in Photo Questions)*

What are the shiny black countertop kitchen dimensions?

A: We did this project several years ago and I don't recall the dimensions. Sorry I can't be of more help.

**Q: Cabinetry** *(in Photo Questions)*

What kind of wood is this beautiful cabinetry made from? Stained or natural? Thank you so much.

A: This is Black Walnut and has a clear conversion varnish finish.

**Q: Where do you find** *(in Photo Questions)*

Looking for this kind of barn door that slides over the other door. Where can I buy this type of door?

A: It's called a bi-pass door. I bought the hardware and the doors from Rustica Hardware but I would try to find somewhere else before I ordered from the again. It was a fairly disappointing ordeal.
