> We collaborated on a new build that Eric Odor designed. He was a pleasure to work with, and the client looooved him. He was an integral part of the process, managing the whole team as the cornerstone, gently and with incredible insight.

## Selected projects

- [Gnarly & NE](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/gnarly-and-ne-pj-vj~1802312)
 - Location: Minneapolis, MN
 - Photos: 12
 - Description: This is a great example of how to transform a typical compartmentalized split-level tract home into a modern home of openness and spatial wonder. New kitchen, new baths, new windows (you won’t believe the windows), new everything.
- [Strange Brew](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/strange-brew-pj-vj~1069310)
 - Location: Not specified
 - Photos: 13
 - Description: This whole house transformation took its cue from the existing beamed and vaulted living room that seemed to belong to another house in another time. We opened up the rest of the first floor allowing the living room’s texture, material and space to flow into the entry hall, around the island closet, through the family room, and out the kitchen windows into the pond beyond. Responding to our clients’ love of the raw and the distressed we introduced counterpoints of mild steel, recycled oak, and c…
- [Zumbro Zen](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/zumbro-zen-pj-vj~91540)
 - Location: Not specified
 - Photos: 9
 - Description: Unfolding like a strand of pearls from west to east across a steeply descending slope, this energy-efficient and sustainable home commands expansive winter views from its lofty ledge high above the north bank of the Zumbro River. Designed as a series of three linked pods, one each for garage, dwelling and retreat, this collection of sun-drenched forms strikes a quiet and respectful pose on this naturally wooded site.
- [Urban Green](https://www.houzz.com/hznb/projects/urban-green-pj-vj~91562)
 - Location: Not specified
 - Photos: 16
 - Description: This LEED for Homes, 2,250-square-foot, three-bedroom house with detached garage is nestled into an 42-foot by 128-foot infill lot in the Linden Hills neighborhood. It features an eclectic blend of traditional and contemporary elements that weave it into the existing neighborhood fabric while at the same time addressing the client’s desire for a more modern plan and sustainable living.

## Community Q&A

**Q: wood on the wall** *(in Photo Questions)*

Could someone please tell me what the wood on the wall is? Thanks a lot

A: A and better clear cedar.

**Q: What is the color of the wall paint?** *(in Photo Questions)*

I like to know how I can find the color of wall paint.
Thanks

A: as a follow up, interior colors look a lot darker the the paint chip,
and exterior colors a lot lighter.

**Q: Roof material costs for a 2/12 comparison** *(in Photo Questions)*

I am planning to do a 2/12 roof pitch with metal clad on some areas but asphalt shingles in others. Is this doable and what cost difference are there between doing the metal clad and ashpalt?
Thanks
Darcy

A: i'm not certain, but i think it's about 3x as expensive if the roof is simple.

**Q: Couch/ chaises** *(in Photo Questions)*

Very unique, and love the texture and colors plus dual purpose. Can you share the company that made these? Many thanks...

A: thx for your help here!

**Q: Seating** *(in Photo Questions)*

Where is the sofa from?

A: Room & Board, but sadly i think it has been discontinued.

**Q: What size is this over all** *(in Photo Questions)*

A: the space in this picture is 22' x 36' including the kitchen and pantry. the entire house
on the main floor and second floor is 2300sf. does that answer your question?
