### Reviews

**★★★★★ — Collin Cooke, Sept. 2018**

> Decor Aid was a great choice for our kitchen renovation. We had some trouble figuring out where to start, but our designer Greta was more than helpful with sorting out all the knitty gritty details. It was a much larger undertaking than we planned for and I’m sure we would’ve been in completely over our heads had we not had Greta and Decor Aid to guide us. We were always able to get in contact with the project management team which was extremely comforting. Even though the kitchen was our main project, we also had Greta help us out with getting some new pieces for the dining room and living room that connect, so that everything meshed well together. The end result couldn’t have been better!

**★★★★★ — Janine Smith, July 2018**

> What started out with a simple paint job ended up with a really dramatic overhaul throughout our home as our project manager Michael and designer Chloe opened our eyes to so many possibilities that my husband and I had never even thought of. And we are glad they did. Instead of coming and going, they exposed us to a vision they truly believed in and delivered on it when we clearly had no clue. Now we love our home again and ended up spending way less than we thought it could cost.

**★★★★★ — User, June 2018**

> To be honest, most of the personal services my husband and I use are more often then not a headache. But Decor Aid's designer took all the cues she needed from us and virtually left us alone until the project really needed our input. There were no late night calls, endless texts, and no empty promises. Elle delivered on time, was professional, and really took what we had to say and how we live into account. I never even write reviews but their services were just that good.

**★★★★★ — User, June 2018**

> If you're looking for a professional local interior designer that's more than all talk, I highly suggest you consider Decor Aid. Besides sharing a bond with our decorator Lisa, my husband and I found great value in their complete services and I think we saved about $3,500 or so with their furniture discounts. All in all, we love it and will use them again!

**★★★★★ — Sharon Williams, Jan. 2018**

> I am so glad we found Decor Aid via Houzz. Working with Mary and the team at Decor Aid was such a pleasure! Mary got our taste, right from the start and was able to design and source custom pieces at very reasonable prices (the trade discounts really came in handy). The space looks very unique and ours (not like a RH showroom). We're very thankful to all the folks at Decor Aid in helping achieve. Thanks!

**★★★★★ — Alicia Khan, Jan. 2018**

> Very professional to work with. Our designer Sheryl had great ideas yet stayed in our budget and timeline. The discounts we were able to get offset our design fees. Planning to use them in the future again.

**★★★★★ — Richard Donkaya, Nov. 2017**

> Pros:
> \- Very transparent and clear about the all in project budget
> \- Kept the project within my budget and warned me when I wanted to go over
> \- Helped in recommending decent GC’s and stayed on top of them
> \- No attitude and making me feel a valued customer despite not having the budget high end designers usually demand
>
> Cons:
> \- Guess I can’t name drop any famous AD100 designer in my social circle but I can live with that

**★★★★★ — Tina Goldstein, Nov. 2017**

> I am usually not the one to write a review but my experience over the last 15 months with Decor Aid has been too outstanding not to give them the support they deserve. This is our third apartment and after years of reading the usual magazines and spending lots of time on Houzz we wanted to go all out.
>
> The design team spent an incredible amount of time and attention to every detail of our project. My husband and I at times felt actually overwhelmed by the choices presented. We expressed our vision for our new home in the beginning and our emphasis on having an all connecting thread run through the project despite some of our statement rooms. I won’t pretend I wasn’t anxious when placing all the orders while entirely trusting the design team to have captured how we wanted to live as a family. Actually, it was nerve wrecking and given the amount of custom contractor work, we decided to live in our old apartment until everything was finished. We thought it’s best not to go there until everything is turnkey ready.
>
> I’ll never forget the day we finally walked in. It’s way beyond what we expected and what the design presentations communicated. Sophia convinced us to add the dining room package which included an entire new collection of fine china to host our first dinner party. The design team did the walk through with us to do the entire punch list which took hours. Once they left, my husband and I set down in our new all custom living room and were honestly speechless. We love our new beautiful home and continue to find little details in the apartment which relate to our individual personalities. It’s stunning.
>
> Now, to write that there were no set backs during the entire project wouldn’t give the full picture. Our first selected millwork contractor got too busy with another project and informed us on short notice that he can’t complete the work. An upholstered sofa had to be returned by the design team several times to the upholsterer and several delays and backorders occurred from the furniture vendors. That caused the final walk-through date to be shifted three times. The Decor Aid team was always on top of those problems and fought hard for our interests. We are sure they got a lot of grey hairs chasing the contractors given the scope of our work. Glad we chose to go all out from the beginning. The additional custom items and especially the dining table set up just pushed the envelope.
>
> Thank you to the entire team for your perseverance and personal interest in the project. We can’t speak highly enough of you and wish your company the recognition and growth you so deserve.

**★★★★★ — Erma Martin, June 2017**

> Excellent customer service - loved our designer and project manager. The designer discounts were a huge cost saver. Thrilled with the way our home looks.

**Comment from Décor Aid:**

> Hi Erma,
>
> I am so happy to hear you had a great experience! We hope to help you with another project soon!

**★★★★★ — Amanda, May 2017**

> We just needed a quick refresh for our living room and they did an incredible job. On time and under budget. The living room is super comfortable and it looks like something out of a magazine. Would definitely use them for another room in the house!

**Comment from Décor Aid:**

> Hi Amanda,
>
> Thank you for working with Decor Aid, we are thrilled you had an awesome experience. We are looking forward to helping you with your next room!

**★★★★★ — Alexandra Kelly, April 2017**

> The brownstone we just purchased was very outdated, and we wanted something more modern, but still comfortable enough for our 2 young children. Alex found some great vintage light fixtures that totally fit the mid-century look we were going for. The walnut wood they installed is beautiful, and we love the marble they picked out for our bathroom. Our house looks amazing! My husband and I loved working with Decor Aid.

**Comment from Décor Aid:**

> Hi Alexandra,
>
> We are so happy to hear that, Alex is great! Thank you for working with us and we hope to help you with future projects.

**★★★★★ — June Casey, April 2017**

> When I moved to the UES, I hired Decor Aid to help decorate my new condo. Modern, pink, and shiny was how I described my style to Sofia and she knew exactly what I wanted. The chairs that she had custom-made for us look great, and I love the way my apartment looks. Would definitely work with Decor Aid again!

  - Description: When an international couple purchased a penthouse overlooking Central Park West, they tried to decorate the space themselves, but soon found the home design process to be demanding and arduous. - Description: When Charlene’s family of four decided to move out of Manhattan, she reached out to Decor Aid, for assistance in furnishing and decorating the family’s new home in Westchester. Although she had already decorated a few upstairs rooms, Charlene needed help in sourcing and decorating the entire bottom floor of her house, and wanted the new home to feel reflective of her young family. The original goal for the project was to infuse three separate design influences. First and foremost, we had to acco…

  - Description: Incorporating your art into a new space can be difficult. Our clients, a family of three, had this problem when they moved into their new Manhattan townhouse. - Description: MODERN INDUSTRIAL: Combining style and function can be a difficult endeavor when it comes to designing space-constrained New York apartments, and our client for this project tasked us with this exact challenge. A financier who works from home, he was seeking to convert a dark, outdated duplex into a space that would serve as a living area, office, and place for entertaining. It also had to be comfortable enough for his girlfriend and durable enough to accommodate his 7-year-old bulldog. The coup…

  - Description: Nestled in Connecticut’s historic Old Greenwich neighborhood, our client tasked Décor Aid interior designer Urszula D. with giving their young family home a warm, modern spirit full of subtle nuances and clean, sophisticated, contemporary design. Going into this project, our client’s major motivation in seeking an interior designer was for them to feel welcome at home in what was an otherwise cold and lifeless, albeit light-filled home. Looking for a new start and completely unique furnishings f…

  - Description: When a client finished remodeling her newly purchased TriBeCa loft, she reached out to Decor Aid, and asked for our help in furnishing the space that her family would call home. Upon arriving at the recently remodeled space, we knew that the loft’s two defining features—an open floor plan, and an abundance of natural light—would also be the two biggest design challenges for this project. The client wanted to outfit her loft with hip, industrial-inspired furniture that could both accommodate her…

  - Description: COUNTRY MODERN It’s easy to see why New Yorkers are drawn to Greenwich, Connecticut: the charmingly rural town feels far removed from the city’s hectic environment, but it’s still a reasonable commute. For this project, our clients–who work in Manhattan–wanted to reimagine a 1970s-era New England Colonial, which was woefully in need of an update. Accordingly, the rustic yet modern interior design blends sleek, industrial lines with rough-hewn natural textures like concrete and reclaimed wood. Dé…

  - Description: MODERN TRANSITIONAL Finding the “perfect” New York City apartment can be all about choosing your battles. Having a space with great light and large windows might come at the expense of proximity to public transit. Nabbing a condo in the school district you want may mean having to settle for less-than-optimal square footage. For Lisa and Anthony, the clients for this particular project, finding the charming, prewar apartment of their dreams meant making do with a space that had sub-par storage an…

  - Description: MODERN INDUSTRIAL: When a repeat Décor Aid client purchased a condo in Sag Harbor, New York, he immediately came to us to transform it into a masculine weekend retreat. The home is in Watchcase, an 1881 factory building that was transformed from an eyesore into a sought-after luxury condominium development by Cape Advisors and Beyer Blinder Belle Architects. The homeowner originally wanted the condo to have a slick, rock ‘n roll vibe. But after our senior designer saw the space, he suggested jux…

  - Description: MID-CENTURY MODERN: New York’s excitement and energy is undeniably enchanting, but it also drives city dwellers to seek a respite from the city’s noise and frenetic pace. That’s exactly what a Manhattan couple wanted when they contacted Décor Aid to transform their brownstone into a tranquil home for themselves and their two young children. The five-level home was narrow and did not get an abundance of natural light, so our master designer focused on planning and brightening the space through th…

  - Description: The charm of Connecticut is all too apparent. It’s coastal string of towns and cities, known as the Gold Coast of Connecticut houses to locals, has been recently dubbed “The New Hamptons.” A quick commute from New York City’s hustle and bustle, the state is charming, refreshing and quaint. Offering itself as an accessible retreat for those who are looking for a calm and serene summer. With over 3,500 sq ft a Connecticut couple faced a severe design dilemma, they had recently purchased a four-bed…

  - Description: MODERN CONTEMPORARY: A young couple moved from New York’s Upper East Side to New Canaan, Connecticut, with a classic conundrum: They wanted more space and a yard for their two young daughters, but they wanted to maintain their urban design style. The couple found a stately colonial with a lot more square footage than they had in their former Manhattan home, so they reached out to Décor Aid to transform it into a comfortable, family-friendly space. We integrated the modern, clean lines of the fur…

  - Description: When summer comes, it’s no shock that images of beaches, ice cream cones, and sand castles drift into everyone’s mind. Our clients, a Manhattan family of five, were no strangers to the desires of the season. The family loved the revamps we did, when Decor Aid previously transformed their duplex into a city chic family home. Now looking to escape the everyday hustle that comes with living in NYC, they came to Decor Aid for design help once again. This time around they needed our design expertise…

  - Description: When our client approached us about redesigning the living room in her family’s Upper West Side apartment, her goals were to revamp the room, bring in brighter colors, and give the space a more modern feel. When we arrived, the room was dominated by two couches that were too large for the space, and the walls were painted a dark beige. The room received little natural light, and had a dark, cavernous vibe: exactly what our client did not want for her family. The space functions as both a formal…

  - Description: When designing a space for two people, it can be difficult to reconcile competing styles. And like every other aspect of marriage, interior design is a compromise. Our clients, a recently married couple, had this exact problem. They had just expanded their apartment and were having trouble finding a cohesive style they could both agree upon. So they called Decor Aid, and asked for our help in saving their apartment. To reconcile the couple’s design sensibilities, we decided to divide the common…

  - Description: With characterless residential buildings popping up from coast to coast, Décor Aid decorators are often tasked with adding a sense of personality and warmth to otherwise bland, generic apartments such as this weekend getaway in the heart of San Francisco. Unlike other small apartment interior design projects, our client was fortunate enough to have a main residence, allowing our designer to focus almost entirely on aesthetics and comfort rather than solutions to fit the most one can in the space…

  - Description: MODERN: A couple with a young daughter moved from a traditional co-op in New York City’s West Village into an ultra-modern apartment in Battery Park City with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of New York Harbor and The Statue of Liberty. Over the years they had amassed a varied collection of furniture that worked perfectly within the old apartment. However, they couldn’t quite figure out how make it work in their new space without competing with the views. So, they came to Décor…
