Construction has been a part of the Kennamer family for three generations. Before starting his own business, Ray worked for his dad, O.W. "Shorty" Kennamer beginning in the early 1970's. He worked with Shorty through high school and upon graduation, started working full time overseeing jobs. They worked all over Northeast Alabama involving themselves in a lot of residential and commercial insurance work, new construction, and remodeling. After Shorty's passing, Ray wanted to continue the legacy of quality construction in and around Marshall County by carving his niche in the home remodeling and renovation side of the construction industry by opening Ray Kennamer Construction in October of 1994.

After starting off in the residential side of construction, Ray received his general contractor license in 1996 to expand into the commercial side of the industry. Ray Kennamer Construction has completed well over 1,000 projects in its 20 years of business including the building of churches, home additions & remodels, and commercial renovations.

Ray is a Certified Graduate Remodeler and Graduate Master Builder through Alabama Home Builders Association, past president of Home Builders Association of Marshall County, past president and member of the Albertville City School Board, past Albertville Chamber of Commerce board member and president, and a Marshall County Leadership Challenge Class of 2001 graduate to name a few involvements.

A: This color is Benjamin Moore 984 Stone Hearth.

A: I'm glad you like it Becky. We actually custom built this table in our workshop. The chairs were purchased by the home owner, but we constructed the table and benches ourselves. The home owner provided us with pictures of what she wanted for the table and benches, and we built them to fit her space.
